My speculation is that RJ has enjoyed all his visits and that whichever team speaks to him last likely wins his commitment.

Me thinks its between us and marquette. I still like our chances in this fight. But i am eager to see if he will hopefully end his recruitment soon.

I'm just glad that he didn't succumb to the moment at any of his Ovs. That tells me that he is at least giving his commitment serious thought. It would have been real easy and understandable to be in Chapel Hill or face to face with Steph and pop. RJ is home now and weighing his options. He should choose GTown but at least we are still in the fight.....

Marquette board seems to think it's between them and UNC. No one seems to be talking about us with him anymore. Would give us a chance if he takes an extra unofficial visit.

I've read that UNC is still recruiting another more highly rated combo guard...DC is alot easier to get to for the NY family to watch RJ play in person than Milwaukee...just sayin'

CE: You visited Georgetown and Patrick Ewing has made you a priority from the start. How was that there and what do they mean to you? RJ: They are a great school and I have a great relationship with them. They preach highly on the academic part just as well as their basketball team. They feel like I could play alongside of (James) Akinjo and (Mac) McClung, but also rebuild and get Georgetown to where it once was. CE: Are you all done with visits now? RJ: Yes, that was my last visit. CE: How far away are you from making your decision? RJ: I don’t have a timetable yet. I want to get it done before my senior year starts, but I am not sure when I will be ready to commit. This week, I am just taking my time to stay to myself and go over each school thoroughly with my family. CE: The signing period is Nov.13-19. Are you planning on signing then? RJ: Yes, if I have my mind made up, then yes. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/q-a-with-top-65-guard-rj-davis

After reading his quotes I don't get any sense of who the leader in his recruitment is a this point. He seems to be interested in all the programs. I am glad the Hoyas are still in the mix and if they could find a way to get him back on campus for more visit, they may be able to close the deal.

Based solely on this article (which means nothing) and RJ's quotes, I would say Pitt is the leader. There's a lot more involved then what was discussed in this article. Obviosly a great sign would be another visit. Like I previously posted, I was told a couple weeks ago (before UNC visit) by someone high up in the NY high school basketball media, his family all want different things. Mom likes Georgetown, Dad likes the basketball opportunity at Marquette, and RJ is slightly partial to Pitt. Over a 75% chance that if he isn't a burger all American, he will be playing in the Jordan Brand All American game. We will see how it shakes out...

Lol...I love RJ's game and think he can be a difference maker, but in the ACC that class maxes out to 6th place.

Pitt has signed the #117 player in the 247 composite rankings the last 3 years. Weird.
Too bad they missed out on Brady Manek (just named to the Karl Malone list for OU) in 2017.

Pitt is technically out of scholarships. They presume Xavier Johnson will go Pro and are recruiting like they're filling his spot, but that's no guarantee

Evan Daniels said he has Davis going to North Carolina on his crystal ball and he is 37 for 37 on his predictions it seems over now. Go Hoyas maybe we can get lucky and win a recruiting battle for once.

Whatever happens, Coach Ewing and staff has put in a lot of effort and mileage recruiting this young man. RJ has a good attitude and approach to his recruitment. Whatever happens it's the recruit's choice.
I feel optimistic!😃 Let's go Hoyas!!
