I don't know who appointed this judge, but it doesn't matter. He's obviously part of the deep state.

MAGA Republicans - your fellow travelers. A federal judge rejected claims that detained defendants in the Jan. 6 Capitol breach are “political prisoners” or that riot participants acted out of patriotism before sentencing a Michigan man to six months in prison Wednesday. “He was not a political prisoner,” Jackson said. “We are not here today because he supported former president Trump . . . He was arrested because he was an enthusiastic participant in an effort to subvert and undo the electoral process.” The judge continued, “You called yourself and the others patriots, but that’s not patriotism. Patriotism is loyalty to country, loyalty to the Constitution, not loyalty to a single head of state. That’s the tyranny we rejected on July 4th of 1776.” www.washingtonpost.com/local/legal-issues/capitol-riot-political-prisoners/2021/08/04/9b6adb84-f54d-11eb-9068-bf463c8c74de_story.html

In the parlance if the FBI's " Domestic Investigations and Operations Guide" (DIOG) sufficient predication exists to open a preliminary investigation which then may become a full investigation. As evidence of Donald Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election mounts, the time has come for the Justice Department to begin, if it hasn’t already, a criminal investigation of the former president’s dangerous course of conduct. Attorney General Merrick Garland has worked to restore the badly frayed public trust in a nonpartisan DOJ. But failing to investigate Trump just to demonstrate objectivity would itself be a political decision — and a grave mistake. If we are to maintain our democracy and respect for the rule of law, efforts to overturn a fair election simply cannot be tolerated, and Trump’s conduct must be investigated. www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2021/08/05/heres-roadmap-justice-department-follow-investigating-trump/

Newsmax, OAN and Patrick Byrne - their time in the barrel has arrived. Dominion Voting Systems on Tuesday filed lawsuits targeting Newsmax and One America News, claiming the conservative networks defamed the voting technology company by spreading and endorsing false reports that it helped steal the 2020 election from President Donald Trump. The company also filed a similar lawsuit against former Overstock CEO Patrick Byrne. Each of the complaints seeks about $1.7 billion in damages. www.washingtonpost.com/media/2021/08/10/dominion-sues-oan-newsmax/?itid=hp_politics

Meanwhile...there's Mike Lindell. Even Fox News has given up on this guy, he of the plan that he had "the" truth on the elections that would cause the Supreme Court to return from vacation, vote 9-0 to ignore the Electoral College, whereupon Biden and Harris would quickly resign out of shame, and (never mind President Pelosi), the MAGA folks would be rolling into town for the second inauguration--without Mike Pence, of course, even if he had been "elected". It's not going well. His election "symposium" is deep in the rabbit hole and it's been reported that the source of his data is not from a state, but from an alleged con man. leadstories.com/analysis/2021/08/new-links-montgomery-and-lindell.htmlA week ago, Las Vegas hosted the worldwide convention of cyber experts and hackers known as Black Hat, which know more about data packets than any pillow executive could hope to. Wouldn't that be the place to scrub the data? Of course not. (Or as Mike calls it, "the computer Internet protocol, blah, blah, blah...") One more, from the Washington Post, titled "The Con Is Winding Down". (Well, one of them...) "Meanwhile, Lindell’s live stream of the symposium — being watched by hundreds of thousands of people on one streaming feed — presses on, with the CEO mostly riffing on how toxic the media is. Promotions offer viewers codes for discounts at MyPillow, a useful bit of advertising given that Lindell’s conspiracy theories have cost his company placement in a number of retailers’ inventories."www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2021/08/10/con-is-winding-down/

Schadenfreude. Proving that I am not a good person. The report detailing the conclusions of a GOP-backed review of ballots cast last year in Arizona has been delayed after the chief executive of the private company conducting the widely pilloried audit and two other members of his team tested positive for the coronavirus. Arizona Senate President Karen Fann (R) announced the delay Monday, saying that Doug Logan, chief executive of the Florida firm Cyber Ninjas, and two other members of the audit team had been infected and were “quite sick.” www.washingtonpost.com/politics/arizona-audit-covid/2021/08/23/f3c46c9e-041d-11ec-a654-900a78538242_story.html

Well, two things. First, Judge Parker is obviously a member of the Deep State. Second, and I write this with all seriousness, she had best watch her back.

At this point, one's positions on policies shouldn't even enter the conversation. The remains of the "Republican" party continue to affirm that their main goal is to dismantle American democracy. Anyone that continues to support these people with their votes or their wallets are the furthest thing from patriots. A vote for any one of these people is a slap in the face to any and all who have served in any branch of service at a bare minimum.

Anyone that continues to support these people with their votes or their wallets are the furthest thing from patriots. A vote for any one of these people is a slap in the face to any and all who have served in any branch of service at a bare minimum. Unfortunately, as we have seen from some of those charged in the Capitol riot, and from what I can gather from many military veterans’ collection of bumper stickers, there is a significant portion of former and current service members who support this nonsense and the autocratic leanings of Trumpian politics. I can’t even pretend to have have respect or gratitude for the service members, current or former, who endorse this sort of American “democracy”. If these are the “ideals” they thought they were fighting for, why should I be thankful? They are antithetical to what it means to be an actual patriot. This isn’t simply “Republican” vs “Democrat”, it’s anti-democracy vs. democracy. This may be an unpopular opinion, but it’s one I’ve been forced to espouse.
