Darius Miles is in the middle of a highly productive junior season for St. Charles (Md.). The four-star small forward prospect in the 2020 class is averaging about 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists as the season winds down. His recruitment is beginning to pick up a little bit. Most recently, he had interest come in from Ohio State and Pittsburgh. He already has offers from Georgetown, Rhode Island and St. Joe’s. Seton Hall and Xavier have also been by his school to check in on him, and he recently took an unofficial visit to Seton Hall for a game. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/four-star-darius-miles-staying-productive-taking-his-time

Slotted within the Rivals150, the recruitment of Darius Miles has been rather dismal of late. That is until he made the move to IMG Academy this fall, which has brought two SEC powers to the plate. A 6-foot-7, slender but skilled wing that can play a variety of positions, Miles discussed his strengths as a prospect. “I am kind of a wing-four, I can get to the basket whenever I want to, and I have a good stroke,” he said. “I just try to play hard and strap up.” LSU and Texas A&M are the primary programs currently recruiting Miles, he told Rivals.com. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/sec-powers-interest-in-rivals150-senior-darius-miles

Interesting prospect. Wonder how involved the staff is in his recruitment. They had showed interest and I think offered him, but have not heard his name mentioned much at all for a few months.

I believe in the early recruitment that he had point guard skills. I hope the staff has inquiring minds!

Excerpt
Miles hasn't taken any official visits and said that he's been on the campuses of Cincinnati, Pittsburgh and Georgetown but Georgetown has offered and has been in steady contact. Notre Dame, St. John's, LSU, St. Joseph's and Washington State are among the others that he says have been in contact of late and more should be jumping in soon.

Transferred to a School in St. MARY'S County, then I believe he transferred to IMG. He wanted a better environment when he transferred to St. Charles High School. Isn't there a guy at Maret School with last name of Miles? Correcting myself, that would be 6-6 Quincy Allen @ Maret!

I am pretty sure he is not the 7-year NBA vet, but I'm interested in the answer to the original question as well. www.basketball-reference.com/players/m/milesda01.html

Maret had a guard with the first name Miles last year who is now point guard at St. Albans.

Darius Miles, IMG Post-Grad (FL): The 6-foot-6 wing forward had a really good night of work in a tough loss against Montverde Post Grad. Miles, who hails from the DC area, finished with a productive and efficient 13 points and seven rebounds on the game. He was at his best the closer he was near the basket. With his length and active play, Miles poses problems inside and out. His recruitment is trending with some high-majors, particularly Texas A&M and LSU. hoopseen.com/news/event/202002/arsrescue-rooter-national-hoopfest-tampa-friday-night-action

I hope we continue recruit him. He is a DC product who went elsewhere to enhance his opportunities. He went to St. Mary'sCounty in southern Maryland and then to IMG in central Florida... said to have point guard skills. Others have their eyes on him like they did on Luka Garza whom we didnt recruit....he sure did blow up! Give him at least a serious look.
