This kid is going to be a star.....a much better Boubacar Aw (just the closest reference that occurs to me).....size, athleticism, motor

Seems to have a nice jump hook over his *left shoulder. Saw it a couple times on Tuesday. Think he got fouled on one and missed the other but both shots looked good and landed softly on the rim.

Happy B-day to Josh... He turns 19 today.
OT but James doesn't turn 18 until November 27th. Kid is really young...

Very encouraged by what I've seen from Josh so far. His upper body frame is going to pack on a lot of muscle too over time. He's going to be a stud.

Also, lest we forget, Josh broke his leg and missed much of his senior HS season last year. If nothing else he missed out on a good deal of experience and while he certainly seems fine now he may still not be 100% as compared to where he would have been physically without the injury. Point is, he's good now and he's probably going to get a lot better quickly.

Like all freshman, as Josh becomes more comfortable with the physicality and speed of the college game he will become a more consistent and effective player. While I am not sure if he ends up in the starting lineup at any point, I am pretty sure you will see him on the floor at the end of games if the Hoyas need a stop or a big rebound.

I concur...and Happy Birthday, Josh!...that's why I was a little surprised that he wasn't on the floor at all going down the stretch over the last 6-8 minutes on Sat...to me, the more he plays, the better...

Leblanc was great again tonight. He is a difference maker who is just scratching the surface. Crazy knack for blocking shots; I even thought the goal tend they called on him was clean.

Thanks D. Owens. This totally and completely makes up for that 3 against Florida in the Sweet sixteen and then some.

he's the reason I wasn't the least bit worried about losing Walker. He needs to be in the starting lineup.

ANIMAL! The comparison to Boubacar- a favorite of mine who was an absolute beast- is fair only in the sense that he makes that type of difference on defense. While Aw was an amazing one-on-one defender at every position save center, LeBlanc is just all over the place and causes chaos for the other team. Imagine this guy in a couple of years...look out!

What is most exciting about this kid is the room for growth in his game. He is an impact player who has yet to fully develop his offensive game. The arrow is pointing straight up.

In my mind, the guy is clearly one of our five best players already and has a ton of potential. He’s a joy to watch. Josh is a really special athlete. To see him perform last night against an Illinois team, that has some big time athletes, is really impressive. I don't think the starting thing is that big a deal, but I do want him on the floor at the end of any close game to defend and rebound. He just makes plays with his length/athleticism that no one else on the team can make. I think Coach Ewing likes having Trey in the starting lineup because he knows Trey will be in the right place and try to make the correct play all the time and that helps settle down the rest of the starters, who are mostly pretty young. Trey is doing a great job so far, but what holds him back is that he is just not an explosive athlete, like Josh. He plays smart and knows his role and plays really hard and with great passion. Josh just has the ability to do some things that not many other players can.

Perhaps the best nba prospect on the team. He’s so athletic, an incredible defender, plays with energy and a great finisher.
