Gotta be sick. Thought the same thing. I did not notice he was not on the bench last night, but I was not looking for him either. I would believe the staff is committed to redshirting him, and that he is Ok with that decision. It seems like he was always a project and the hope is he could develop into a big time rim protector for the next few years. He had some impressive shot blocking stats in high school. Hopefully he can become the type of player Gill has grown into for Seton Hall. I remember Gill playing briefly last year and he was very unimpressive and now he has grown into a player that impacts the game in a big way for his team. Malcolm will be way better than Gill...up your expectations...lol...I expect Gill type numbers next year and by senior year Malcolm should be draftable....

Per Patrick: "Wilson's father passed away, which is why he has been missing. He will be back on campus this week."
Condolences and wishing him peace, that is really tough.

My Italian grandmother had various remedies for the curse that is afflicting this team. The only one I remember is breaking a pair of scissors with a big rock. I'm heading out to the garden now.

Having lost my father recently, I feel for you, Malcolm. Your GU family is here for you and you have a great father figure in Patrick Ewing. God bless you and your family.

A blessing for Malcolm is that his coach knows what he is going through as he lost his own mother in 1983.

Back in the day there was only one pay phone on fourth Loyola. It was outside my room. Freshman year I answered two phone calls from family members trying to contact someone on our floor regarding a family "health issue". First time I didn't realize what that euphemism meant and found our floor mate and told him to call home. The second time I had our RA contact my floor mate. Never a good time to lose a parent but when you're far from home and surrounded by guys you really just met it is especially hard. I think having supportive teammates and someone like PE and JT2 close by will help.

I didn't see Tim getting 10+ mpg down the stretch last year either, but those things happen. That wasn't even transfer related. No - MW might not see regular minutes. But between losing a nearly 30mpg guy in Omer, an occasional foul trouble game, and an injury or two, he'll almost certainly see at least a few meaningful minutes at some point this year. When he does, who knows? Maybe he's a revelation... Looking ahead (plus recruiting) - it does seem crowded. But I also don't think there's any realistic way Q, Timmy, and MW spend 4 seasons at GU together. There's a bunch of different ways that all could play out - definitely not all w/ Malcolm at the back of the line.

I am curious about his development. He has talent, just needs weight, strength, and better footwork. He is very quick, and in my opinion our best shot blocker. He's also very modest.
