My bad. To be honest I can barely recall Moses' time on the court.

Moses was 6’9 on a good day and could barely jump from the floor. Wasn’t as athletic as Ighoefe appears to be. I just don’t know about that comparison. Certainly didn’t have as impressive a wingspan. Moses had a crazy wingspan himself (7'4", supposedly) and was a very good athlete before injuries took a toll. We never got a decent look at what he could've been. Unfortunately he ended up being a limited offensive player on a 2014 team full of limited offensive players.

If you blinked you missed Ayegba’s contributions but he had a few 5-8 minute stretches where he forcefully grabbed some rebounds , intimidated some shots and ran the floor hard. I see Timothy having some similar flashes this season. Hopefully with Patricj’s Influence Timothy will develop into a full BEAST.

Moses played well in that great 2013 game at the Carrier Dumb.

Moses played well in that great 2013 game at the Carrier Dumb. This Syracuse game was definitely Moses best performance. He was really good on the boards and defensively. Before Moses tore his ACL in a Kenner game between is freshman and sophomore years - he was quite athletic. But he never regained his explosiveness after the injury. His skill level was always going to be an issue offensively, but he had the potential to be a very good defensive player before the injury.

Its gonna be fascinating how he develops his offensive game. I glad we have legitimate rim protectors on our roster.

That’s Rudy Gobert level 7-8 wingspan to put it in perspective Bismack Biyombo who Ewing coached and was noted for his wingspan had a 7-6 wingspan. www.google.com/amp/s/www.thesportster.com/basketball/10-longest-wingspans-in-the-nba/amp/

Met Timothy last night in person for the first time...he’s is big and a physically imposing man. Couldn’t be more of an gentleman...but at 18 years old already has an nba ready body.

Would you mind sharing the circumstances that led to such a meeting? If you can that is.
Also I read somewhere that he would have turned 19 sometime this summer. Regardless his physique is not the type one would normally see on any teen. I can still recall Zo's build when he got to Georgetown and he was considered to be extremely strong for a frosh. Alonzo would look like a pogo stick next to this dude.

I think he will be a developmental project.... But... I love his size, mobility and athleticism as a soccer player. He has tools that can be worked with, and e en as a freshman, I think he'll give us some nice minutes. If he keeps those arms up, hell be a tough one inside.

There was a team bbq with the staff at the Thompson Center yesterday which I was lucky enough to be invited to and flew in for.

Dug up some commentary of Big Tim from reddit of all places. Just not enough info out there but I’m so intrigued by Ighoefe I keep looking for stuff anyway. One person in particular going by the name CountAardvark appears to have some greater insight into all of this (even if the wingspan issue is wrong) and I find his comments to be interesting enough even if already known. So I thought I would share : www.reddit.com/r/CollegeBasketball/comments/9e47io/hoyas_land_nigerian_center_timothy_igohoefe_2019/ Hoyas land Nigerian center Timothy Igohoefe (2019). 6’11”, 240 lbs with a 7’10” wingspan...would be the longest in the NBA. 177 points·11 months ago --That's the type of player Ewing should be able to connect with. Teach them some low post fundamentals.
--Does he have any basketball skill whatsoever?
KJones77 62 points·11 months ago --Yes, he impressed recently at a G-League camp alongside graduating college players.
CountAardvark 68 points·11 months ago·edited 11 months ago --This guy is a gem in the rough, but needs a lot of work. He's raw potential right now and not a ton else. Definitely see him being a 3 or 4 year player but if he can keep up with Ewing's training he's going to be a force to be reckoned with. His measurables are off the charts and based off of the few clips I've seen of him he seems very nimble for a man of his size. He's also packing some serious muscle power - most dudes his size would be string beans at this point but Timothy is a total hulk. I'm very pleased with this pickup.
xkoalasx 2 points·11 months ago --He should be a 3 or 4 year, but if he starts to show potential it'll be tough to get him to stay with the media hyping him. Although the recruits from outside the US seem to be more prone to stay.
Frewdicey 14 points·11 months ago --Impossible to tell just how effective this kid is, or can be, but man physically hes perfect for Ewing to mold. He also has had some good showings recently and can be an impact rebounder/defender from day 1 just because of his length. Great grab by the coaching staff.
stalker007 3 points·11 months ago --The Hoya's are looking pretty darn good. Future looks pretty bright. Assuming their back court lives up to the hype.
Vinny_Cerrato 2 points·11 months ago --He would probably be effective in terms of defense and rebounding based on just his size and athleticism alone, but he is definitely going to be a project player, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he does sit out his freshman year to maximize his development time.
Dsarg_92 1 point·11 months ago --Long hands.
https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/arh4g2/lets_be_honest_finding_giannis_was_the_real/egn75ya/ CountAardvark 32 points·6 months ago·edited 6 months ago --Theres a Nigerian called Timothy Ighoefe that Patrick Ewing recently found with the same wingspan as Mo Bamba (who has the longest in the NBA) and a Editedton of raw talent and finesse. Remember that name, and @me in a few years. I think he's gonna be something special.

I saw Timothy on campus this weekend when I was dropping off 2 of my sons. Welcomed him to Georgetown and wished him well with his studies and hoops. He thanked me. Seemed like a great kid in a man's frame. He had a bounce in his step too. Just exuded athleticism.
