Would have to think Georgetown, Louisville, Pittsburgh, Uconn, Ohio St are in his top to 5.

Oh yea my bad. Lol. Somehow left Syracuse out. Gotta wonder if hoyas getting the commitment of Igohoefe would take us out of the running for Wahab.

I'll guess Georgetown, Pitt, UConn, Ville, and VCU since they all had HC's and assistants to watch him multiple times in the last week... HC one day, assistant the next etc...

If Wahab is top 150 talent, I don't think he's got to worry about Igohoefe, who for now is largely a project. In contrast, you'd expect someone like Wahab to begin making contributions immediately. The fact that the staff is still on him tells me the answer. They wouldn't continue visiting, etc., if they didn't want him.

Conflicting reports on Igohoefe. Can't find alot of highlights on him. One video I did see, he looked raw but more ready to play than sodum. Some say he is a project others say he isn't. Should be interesting to see if Wilson reschedules his visit. Gotta think right now Wahab is first choice and Wilson is second. Wilson sounds like he is wanting to make his choice soon, Wahab maybe wanting to wait it out. Do we want/need 2 projects in both Igohoefe and Wilson. ?

Hard to judge based on comp but I see at minimum a top 150 big in Ighoefe.. His measurables alone prob get him top 200...

Pitt’s Jeff Capel along with assistants from Georgetown & VCU were in this morning for Rivals150 big man Qudus Wahab

Big Coach Ewing, draw a line in the dirt...Qudus Wahab must become a Hoya and not be stolen from our backyard! Hunt him down like our point guard Akinjo!

At the 50 second mark, Wahab goes up to protect the front side of the rim against a driver who opts to go for the reverse. Wahab blocks the reverse before he hits the ground. Maybe it wasn’t the strongest drive, don’t care, LOVE that defensive instinct and ability

We need this kid. Don't see how we take on both Wilson and Igohoefe together. Wahab is ready to play now.

Man, he sure looks the part. Strong, NCAA ready frame. Long arms. Good instincts around the net. Some go-to post moves. Some dog in him on defense. Finishing hard, with passion around the net through contact.
Would love to see this kid signed. Wilson seemingly is the plan B here.
I mean, Baker at the stretch 4 and Wahab at the traditional 5 would be a silly combo to play with Mackinjo.

I hope we are still on that list, even with Wilson and Big Tim.

Not feeling it, even if we somehow make the cut.

I think we are out of the Wahab running, maybe still a slight chance at Baker...

The recruitment of Qudus Wahab is still ongoing as the Rivals150 center has yet to narrow his school list. He has been stuck on a final 12 for several weeks, but I expect him to publish a final five in the coming days with the Panthers on it.
From there, things remain blurry. Pitt has made up major ground in his recruitment since June as Jeff Capel has seen Wahab twice already since the fall evaluation periods began. Virginia Tech, UConn, Georgetown, VCU and Louisville are just a few others in contention, but much more time needs to be given before a favorite emerges.

I think we are out of the Wahab running, maybe still a slight chance at Baker... I agree. I don't see them recruiting another player who is strictly a 5 at this point along with Wilson and Big Tim. Baker and Akok can both play the 4 position so I could see them still being in the mix, but I think the Hoyas are done recruiting centers for this year, and probably next year.
