I dont want to be Debbie downer..and Ryan has a high ceiling...but he will likely NOT be a huge producer next year. He has a long way to go.

I see one of three things happening:
1) Ryan walks the he’s been talking 2). Tim slaps him around like a little bitch 3). There’s a big chemistry problem on next years team

I don't think it matters at all. I doubt anyone is really paying attention to his tweets, and if they are and it motivates them? Good.

While it remains to be seen if he’ll back the talk up, this team needs vocal leadership in the worst way. I’m looking forward to watching him develop here. Plus he’s family! Y’all can think what you want about the tweets but he’s one of us. Embrace it.

Maybe this was the reason why Q ran out of town. He got scared and tucked his tail.

If he’s putting this out publicly on Twitter, we can only imagine how he’s showing up in other places. He has a penchant for disrespecting his teammates . I hope he grows out of this immaturity fast.

He said he is coming to go to work and he is going to out work those in his lane; that's not disrespect; that is coming with a workman's attitude; and anyone in his lane has that same opportunity to work even harder.
In the pros when you line them up in the preseason everybody is after your spot. you out work them, out play them to keep it. Each player will tell you that and it is not disrespect it is about working.

Ryan seems to be a great young man, mature and focused. Not at all worried about how he will fit with his teammates.

Each player will tell you that and it is not disrespect it is about working. Couldn't agree more. That's the mentality of having an NBA dad. It's not about anything but getting better and beating the man across from you day after day. Whether that's your teammate in practice or an opponent in a game. We like to throw around the phrase iron sharpens iron in basketball circles - and this is the mentality that has to go along with the physical for that to occur. I've had a chance to meet Ryan a few times. The kid is very impressive. He's an accomplished musician (?) (it may be choir singer). He's very into local politics. Very cultured on a global perpective (as you'd expect from the son of Dikembe). My point being that he's the type to help shape a mentality into production. I've said before he reminds me a ton of Roy. A pro ceiling who's just starting to grow into and get used to his 7'1 frame. I'm not convinced he will be ready to be a big time contributor from day 1 - but I do think he's a kid that will make a major impact in the program on and off the court.

Lol..if you don’t see the possibility of a red flag here, I don’t know what to tell you, except that you may find sand in your ears. I must be missing the genre of tweets of great players talking trash to their future teammates.

You could argue if he should or should not vocalize it, but isn't that the mentality you want to see in all your players?

Maybe the maximizing the ability and preparation part...maybe not the going for the neck of teammates part.

What would be the subscription fee for a video feed of Ryan’s first days in practice? I would like to see how Tim and Malcolm welcome Ryan.
