Hoyaina, dont know what you mean...this is some exciting stuff!! Our coach is living out of a suitcase and beaming (Star Trekking) around the country recruiting to bring the best possible talent to Georgetown. Some bodies are going to say YES, I can roll with the vision. Those who sleep will miss out on a fantastic opportunity to be a part of something big and dynamic! Man its exciting how much energy and commitment Coach Ewing is displaying recruiting. I am very thankful. Somebody on this board said he would head West to California.they were correct...he might keep going to China, Africa, and Europe if there are viable candidates...I'm kidding, but the way he's traveling nothing should surprise us about where he goes, he's hunting, not waiting. Close some deals coach. We're rooting for you!!!

And right now the closing part is going to be difficult until the wins come... if Pat gets us to the NCAA's next season, dominoes will fall much more easily, so I'm sure he's looking for the right pieces right now in terms of underrated talent that he can make a team. This is obviously no retirement job for Ewing. He's going at it full bore.

He has so much to work with, I believe he will pick up some key pieces of the puzzle this year. As this tournament is showing there are so many good/great players out here. He has to collect the best he can get for now. He's selling himself and the university. I have confidence in him.

Actually u could switch both on the ball and/or have on the court at the same time. This would be the best backcourt in the BE and one of the best in the land. That sounds good. No matter what, Matt MacClung doesn't strike me as one who wants something given to him, and Patrick doesn't strike me as a coach who would give a job away. I think everyone has to earn what they get, every year. I believe competition is good and is an incentive for everyone to get better, so that the whole team is stronger. It starts in training and practice. Additionally this guy has had some interesting life experiences, and I think would bring additional leadership to the squad. Yes indeed, I've always mentioned Mac is a leader.

If Mitchell wants to come you take him. He is one of the players that will be good because of his age. It is a huge advantage to have a kid that was actually good as a recruit and will be a 4th and 5th year guy here. He is a CG like Mac but this would allow Mac to come off the bench and get acclimated. What's a CG, if you're talking about a shooting guard you're wrong. Mac is a point guard. Wendell can play the point as well and no one is saying not take the kid.

Won't be better than Nova's back-court, not even close actually.. The best way to put it, would be to say it'll be better than this past years back-court.. Explain? Brunson will be gone, this kid Wendell is just as good as Brunson, plus we'll have Mac so I don't know how you can say if we had Wendell our back court wouldn't be just as good as theirs. I think you'd have to know a bit more about Mac and Wendell's point guard play/combo-guard before you mention this. hoyarooter @yaboynyp hoyainla Mac alone would be better than our back court himself from this year. That's a given. Add Wendell perhaps the best back court in the Big East. Don't sleep, get woke or be woke lol.

Divencenzo + Gillespie return and Slater's listed as an incoming SG. Their backcourt will still be very, very strong.

Good question. I'd say Pickett, Derrickson, Govan, Mac, Wendell. Throw Mac and Wendell as the one and two.

This was just my opinion. If I'm wrong, so be it and I will definitely admit if I was wrong. Thanks.

Neither Mitchell or Mac have proven themselves to be better players than Booth or Divencenzo from Nova.. Plus they have the very highly regarded Quinerly kid coming next year as well.. Again, it's not close imo..

Ideally all your guards would be combo-guards so they can alternate between running the point and playing off-ball. It helps you give more looks for the defense since everyone has different strengths.

I know the rest. lol Thx.

Etomic I think you lose some when you say "way better". Nova may be better but the gap would be small. Mac, Mitchell, Blair, and Moseley would compare nicely to Quinerly, Divicenzo, Booth, and Gillespie....

quinerly maybe rated higher but that kid doesnt have mac's drive to prove everyone wrong since he has been rated as the 2nd best pg of this class. i dont care about diviwhatever... arch was the better version of that kid... mitchell is a threat both sides of the court as well.

We seriously can’t be comparing our current or next seasons backcourt to that of the best team in the country.
