Since there are a bunch of Georgetown grads either running for other college teams or professionally, they deserve a thread of their own.
Here are a list of those grads, who are still running at a national (or internationally) level.
First the professionals Emily Infeld (running for Nike in Portland) Andrew Bumbalough (Nike teammate of Emily) Rachel Schneider (UnderArmor in Flagstaff)
Grad school affiliates Sabrina Southerland (Oregon) Sam Nadel (Oregon for outdoors, unattached now) Emma Keenan (NAU)
Rachel, Sabrina, and Sam are signed up for events in the Columbia Challenge this weekend.

Also next weekend is the Camel City Elite mile in which Rachel will compete as defending champion. Also competing, whom I left off the list of those GU grads running professional is Katrina Coogan.
Not sure why, but Rachel is scheduled now for running the 3000m and then coming back to run the mile. About 30 minutes between events. Maybe she and her coach (Mike Smith) wants to get a good workout in preparation for the USATF indoor champs in about three weeks.

Emily is entered in the USATF National Cross Country championship in Florida next weekend. Well, the first great result of the day. Emily Infeld is the 2018 USATF Cross Country champion. I don't think she was a XC champ in college, but in her first XC race in four or five years, she ran away with the title over 10000m (college XC is competed at 6000m). The 4th place finisher was her teammate and Olympic silver medalist in the 3000m steeplechase. The 2nd place finisher is a graduate of Notre Dame. Women’s race
The top women weren’t messing around early in this one as by the three-kilometer mark, seven women had broken away: Infeld, Seidel, World Champs steeple medalist Courtney Frerichs, Hoka One One NAZ Elite’s Stephanie Bruce, Susan Tanui, Emily Durgin, and Katrina Spratford.
The pack was tight, but it was clear that Infeld and Seidel were the ones in control, with those two leading the group and dictating the pace. One by one, the others faded away. At 6k, the lead pack was down to five and once Bruce fell off at the eight-kilometer mark, Infeld and Seidel were the last two women standing. Neither Infeld nor Seidel had ever won a USATF national title -- which drought would end in Tallahassee?
Both women surged hard on the downhills approaching nine kilometers, but neither gave an inch. Only one extended crushed-gravel hill remained before heading back onto the grass and the finishing straight, and that hill is where Infeld decided to go for broke. She opened up a gap of a couple meters halfway up and continued to push up and over it as the gap widened.
Once she hit the grass, only 500 meters remained and Infeld could smell her first national title. She left no doubt, going to her arms and powering down the home straight for a 3.4-second victory in 31:18.7.
Top 12 Results (everyone with in 3 minutes of the winner).

It was a great day for Hoya alumnae. Not only did Emily win the National XC meet, but Rachel Schneider did a double mile/3000m with little time in between the two races and won them both!!! Not only won, but dominated both races.

Engels came up well short in his bid to hit the World Indoor standard of 3:55.00, fading to fourth place in 3:58.81 as Paul Chelimo, who was doubling back from a victory in the 3k less than an hour earlier, broke 4:00 for the first time in his life (officially) in running 3:58.59 for second. Chelimo actually wound up making even more money than Cheserek today as he won $6,000 for winning the 3k and $4,000 for second in the mile to give him $10,000 for the day.
Neither of them could claim top earner honors, however. On the women’s side, Rachel Schneider made $12,000 in the span of 40 minutes by pulling off an incredible double, winning the 3k in 9:02.64 and the mile in 4:31.74.

Women’s 3000
Former Georgetown runner Rachel Schneider, now running for Under Armour, started her super impressive double by crushing the field in the women’s 3000 — running 9:02.64 to win as Stephanie Brown was second in 9:10.01. 35 minutes after this race started, Schneider would run and win the mile in dominant fashion as well.

Women’s Elite Mile
Rachel Schneider got a dominant win in 4:31.74 to cap off a tremendous double as former NCAA runner-up Cory McGee was second in 4:36.10. Schneider ran a big negative split as she hit 809 in 2:18.88. This race started just 35 minutes after the 3000, which Schneider also won.

Emily's time is the fastest time in the world in the women's 5000m this year. Second place finisher is the Olympic champion in 2016 in the triathlon.

But based on 2018 form, the woman with the best chance to break up the Bowerman Babe hegemony is Rachel Schneider. In her 2018 opener, she clocked 4:27.30 at the Dr. Sander Invite — the fastest mile this year by anyone in the field — and followed that up with an incredible double. At Camel City on February 3, Schneider ran 9:02 to win the 3k and came back less than 30 minutes later to win the mile in 4:31. Then factor in that both races were on a flat track and that she CRUSHED McGee by over four seconds in the mile and you see how impressive it was. She’ll be fresh at USAs (she didn’t race last week and isn’t running the 3k in ABQ) and ready to roll.
