An invitational 5000m at Boston U this Thursday has Emily Infeld, Josette Norris, and Katrina Coogan all running. It seems that Emily and Josette will run in heat one and Katrina in heat two.
Collin Leibold will be running in section two of the men's 5000m.

Thanks for that Russky. I have tried to stay in touch with Kate. She didn't expect to do too well in the Olymic Trial Marathon, since she was supposed to run Boston this year as an invited runner (a chance to pick up some extra money). So she was very conservative in her approach to the OT Marathon. As mentioned above she was 14th there, and first runner over 40 and beating some of the favorite runners in the race. The course was a tough one, so her 2:34 was probably equal to a 2:30 on a flat course. Additionally, she had some stomach problems which cost her 30-45 seconds.

Interesting interview. Georgetown HOF Sasha Spencer Atwood interviews Johnny Gregorek, son of Georgetown HOF John Gregorek.

For those of you dying for live track action this will be the next best in a virtual race setup. Sabrina Southerland will be one of virtual relay participants. This dual meet features the Atlanta Track Club vs the Oregon Track Club. The meet takes place on Saturday June 20 at 7:00 pm EST (4:00 pm PST). Commentators include Sasha Spencer Atwood. So two alumnae are involved. gotracktownusa.com/events/rotd/

From Track and Field News:
At 13 months, Emily Infeld is celebrating her longest healthy stretch since her college days, but says "I'm taking a break now to heal some compensation on my right side." She expects to be back training "in a month or two."
I guess with the celebration comes concern.

In this month's issue of Runner's World, it has a trivia bit under "The Digits" that Johnny Gregorek has the fastest mile wearing blue jeans in 4:06.25! Thirteen months ago, Johnny Gregorek was still reveling in arguably the best race of his life, a 3:49.98 indoor mile he ran in Boston. It made him and his dad, John Gregorek, the fastest father-son miler duo in history. The performance also cemented Johnny among the country’s rising middle-distance runners and proved his world championship appearance two years ago wasn’t just luck. He remained a valid candidate for an Olympic berth for Tokyo 2020. www.si.com/olympics/2020/04/02/olympics-tokyo-postponed-johnny-gregorek-runner-father-1980-moscow

Actually the blue jeans record had been held previously by Georgetown grad Spencer Brown.

Also in another part of Oregon:
400m 1 Kate Grace Nike/Bowerman Track Club1:27.71 2 Emily Infeld Nike/Bowerman Track Club1:28.08 3 Amy Cragg Nike/Bowerman Track Club1:30.15
and 600m
1 Emily Infeld Nike/Bowerman Track Club2:19.68 2 Amy Cragg Nike/Bowerman Track Club2:21.56 3 Kate Grace Nike/Bowerman Track Club2:21.72
These were modified jogs to warm up for the 4x1500m, where another team of Bowerman track club set the world record. I believe Emily was on the team finishing 2nd in that race:

Josette ran in the Music City Distance Carnival. The 1500m is probably not her best event.

From Track and Field News: Andrew Bumbalough (13:12.01 ’13) hasn’t raced on the track since ’16. A confirmed roadie these days, he failed to finish the Trials Marathon. We wouldn’t be surprised to see him in the 10,000.
