I’ll be making the trip from sunny California to Omaha’s winter wonderland for the game. Anyone have suggestions for things to do/eat in Omaha? Also any Hoyas meet ups?

Switch under on screens and dare them to chuck threes. Our only hope is that they fall in love with those shots too much and shoot very poorly. If they shoot well- we have seen that movie already.
Also need to get back on transition defense. We should be subbing at a frantic pace.

I hear you, but we need fresh bodies out there, even if just for a minute or so breather.

Too bad basketball doesn't do line changes as play continues, as does hockey. Could work here.

Nothing to lose in this game, hopefully the guys can play without pressure and show improvement.

Play hard, smart and have fun Hoyas I'm in with you all the way. Just play! One game at a time.

I don't think the whole team has had a solid showing in Big East play this season. There has always been one or more important player under-performing or one vital area of the game that the whole team has been deficient in. It would be great for the whole team to play a solid game for an entire 40 min. That would get us a chance to beat a superior team.
I guess I'm saying that this team has little to no margin for error. We're due for a solid all-around game, right?

First 15 minutes of Butler game was probably closest we came to looking dominant in aBE game

I guess the upside is that Creighton hasn't looked great in their last two games, losing at Providence and narrowly winning at St. John's. That cuts both ways, though, as I suspect they'll be ready to put together a full performance back in Omaha. The only way to win this game is to shoot lights out all night and just hope Creighton is way off. I do think if Pickett can stay hot and Govan and Derrickson play well, we could be a somewhat tougher matchup than we were a few weeks ago. But I think keeping this one within 10 would be an accomplishment.

Creighton's PF is out for the season with a torn ACL, which may account for them not playing quite as well recently. But as others have said - unless they shoot like crap, they should beat us easily. They run their offense so well that, given our mediocre at best defense, they are going to get lots of good shots. We just have to hope they miss a lot more of them than normal, and that we make more of our shots than usual.
Simplistic analysis, but so many games now come down to which team hits their open threes. Unfortunately, we don't have a whole lot of outside shooting right now. Hopefully Pickett and Mosely can build on their better recent 3 point shooting, and McClung/Carter/Malinowski can add some strong outside shooting next season.

They have looked really out of sorts without their center (Majerl?). Hoyas will need their absolutely best game of season. But there is a chance if McDermott is still having trouble getting guys to execute without him.

Go to one of the last 3 real old school, Italian mobster steakhouses. We went to Gorat's -- met the owner, Gene, who is a cool guy. There's a nice, small downtown with lots of nice places. Lots of beer bars and breweries. The arena is great. We walked around the CWS stadium, which wasn't open as well.

Hope to see Jessie back in usual form with his double doubles. His sitting on the bench for most of the DePaul game was, IMHO, the reason we lost. Rebounding was key and we just didn't get it done. Go Hoyas. Rebound the ball, tighten-up, play with abandon and you never know.

Not a lot of game day excitement on the board for this one. To be honest I'm as excited if not more so for Ewing's plans to head west for recruiting after this game. Nonetheless, I hope we can shake off the DePaul loss and play with some energy tonight.
