I guess the players will call it quits from this point on and not even make the trip to NYC. Throw this game out the window and move on to the next. No, they won't quit, (well, they did quit today) but be careful how you talk to your players especially when they believe in you and are trying their best. I do remember Derrickson was playing his ass off and had 14 points before the half vs. DePaul. But 15 minutes, 4 points? The way he got hit in the nose made me think he may have a concussion. I don't know. I'm just saying, if so, he shouldn't have even played if this were the case. Again, I don't know. Go away. You're innuendo and speculation are detrimental to the team, players and program. Yea 15 minutes and 4 points against Creighton. And he gave up a rebound on a free throw. The last thing anyone should be is softer on him or the team.

Oh, so now I'm innuendo, speculation and detrimental to the team, players and program? I thought the players were the team/program. No, sir I've always been the opposite of what you wrote. Passionate, knowledgable, caring, considerate, very thoughtful and very supportive according to the program. As JT3 always said to me, "Kent, thanks for your support." And yes, I've been saying the Hoyas cannot play soft when they do they lose and sometimes lose big. Apology accepted. hahahaha.

Dickerson was actually an acceptable 4th guard off the bench today..for today at least, he did his job. Great to see Walker getting run. He is raw, but absolutely an energy guy and might end up our best rebounder..seems to have strong hands and a nose for the ball. Seems like the kind of guy who could have been a valued reserve on the old Hoyas of the 80's.

I totally lost respect for all those sports media outlets that put Marcus out there. Coach Ewing was enough, but when the media got a hold of it. This was this could've been the worse. How f ing inconsiderate can you be. This is how they do our young people. I get it! Say what you want, but I know what's up!!!

If you let him play through his mistakes he will always be and as I mentioned before I like the way he controls the tempo of a game, and yes even when he shoots some bad shots. I've mentioned to him if he wants to go inside to shoot his floater. Do not go into the teeth of the defense, that's a no no. You're right.

Jesse was tied for fifth (w/ Walker) on the team in shots taken today. And one of the other four was not MD. That's not going to work.

My #Hoyas starting five: Derrickson, Govan, Blair, Walker, Mosely/ Dickerson period. Trey can either start or be first one off of the bench. Hines second, then Pickett! Muresan is a physical player. I don't care about the name "walk on." Means nothing to me! #Georgetown!

Obviously disappointed in the effort and coaching today. Going into the game I expected a loss, likely by double digits but I was hoping to see more of a contest. 5 minutes into the game I was hoping we could keep the loss in single digits, and down 18 at the half I was hoping to see us “win” the second half. Either of those would have been a moral victory, but instead we decided to experiment with lineups and throw up the white flag. The substitutions were odd today. Our only chance was to play through Govan and Derrickson (inside out) and for most of the game we decided to alternate them at the five and they played the least amount of minutes all season. This was a great opportunity for our starting lineup to test themselves against a top level big east squad in the second half, but instead we basically gave up. Where was the press that gave us a bit of a spark at the end of the first half? Muresan doesn’t need to play five minutes when we’re getting smoked on our home court. I am concerned with our in game coaching so far in the Big East, we are currently 0-3-1 in second halves in the BE games, and I will continue to be curious to see if we improve in that area. I expect us to lose to Creighton, nova, and Xavier but I would like to see some in-game adjustments and evidence that the team is improving and playing with a plan. Today, I didn’t see that.

Pure hate from sleepy Look how these fools throw Marcus under the bus as soon as something happens like this. I see what you're saying hoya4ever, I really see it now. "If what you say is true There isn't a respectable coach at any level who should have much to do with this kid. If a 20 year old can't take that god help the little snowflake. As I stated I've seen far tougher comments directed at young kids who happen to respond instead of crying to their big sister. Pure hate. "You know Glide your tiresome comments in virtually every post that you are the omnipotent and knowledgeable about all basketball have become laughable. I think I've known and forgotten far more about the game than to be lectured to by you and your understanding of the text from basketball for babbling idiots. I use that because it clearly equates with your response to those on this board who chose to disagree. Why do you continue to post here? Please return to the Casual site where the basketball IQ is much more to your level." Obviously, I was right and hurt some feelings. The truth hurts. hahahahaha.
