Watched some of the Provy--Rider game and was not impressed by Providence. They do not seem to have a Hoya killer, i.e. a quick penetrating guard. Might be a BE win at home. I hope your right because I hold my teddy bear tight having flashbacks of those games against the Friars

The center that got hurt will be a big loss to Providence, but I am not sure about the comment about the PG. The Cartwright kid is a really good college point guard who has given the Hoyas trouble in the past. I think the Hoyas do have a chance to beat the Friars, at least at home, but containing Cartwright is going to be an issue for them

Coach Cooley has already admitted he's scheduled a really tough OOC with team's like Rider & Belmont (mid major power) as the "so called" easier parts of the schedule.

Xavier manhandling Cincy early. Scoring in the paint and getting to the basket with ease.

Big win for Xavier over #11 Cincy in the crosstown rivalry...

Cronin looks like a sore loser and a phony, if Macura was on his squad he'd play him 30+ minutes every game..

My thoughts on the big east so far... Nova and Xavier are really good (top 10) Seton Hall is pretty good (top 20) Creighton is good (top 30) Providence is solid, should better by BE play Butler and St. John’s are mediocre Marquette and Depaul, not good. Georgetown: ?? No idea. Despite obsessing over the Hoyas it’s hard to tell anything until we are tested. Opportunity is there to work our way into the middle of the BE (5th-7th place area). I don’t see the BE getting 7 teams in the tourney this year, more like 5.

Not a Cronin fan but I really dislike Macura. If what Cronin is saying is true, Xavier should discipline.

After 1985 I never thought I'd ever say a nice word about Villanova, but I must say I'm really impressed with what Jay Wright is doing. And very jealous.
