Does the one year ban start now or if there is a season? Reduction of three scholarships? Where are they at for this upcoming season? I wonder if this will affect Moncrieffe.

NCAA brought down another Black coach while Will Wade, Roy Williams, Shawn Miller, etc, etc walk free. NCAA bringing him down? No, he pled guilty in federal court. "During the sentencing hearing, the associate head coach acknowledged that he knew his actions would expose Oklahoma State to potential NCAA violations, but he 'thought it was an easy way to make money.'" The NCAA committee which recommended this show-cause order included a former United States Attorney General, the retired athletic director at Minnesota, the president of the University of Akron, the chief operating officer of the Big East Conference, the director of the office of enforcement for the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, the former president of the University of Vermont, and the current university counsel at Princeton. ncaaorg.s3.amazonaws.com/infractions/decisions/Jun2020D1INF_OklahomaStatePublicDecision.pdf

Sorry Cade. Bad choices have consequences Well I mean his brother was coaching there plus he can always get his 500K from the G-League. MAM is someone I really want to see what he does. Or Ferron Flavors.

Does the one year ban start now or if there is a season? Have to presume it will apply to whenever the next post-season takes place.

A potential two year post season ban is as close as we might ever see to the death penalty. Really curious what Kan$a$ Arizona, Louisville and L$U are thinking right now. Louisville was already on probation for running a brothel before this....

To this point, the move has been to deny all day, with schools like LSU, Arizona and UNC doing that, so I really hope that changes.

My guess is that those schools will continue to deny, and point to this as the reason why you don't cooperate. I expect them to delay, delay, delay and extend this out as long they can to find some kind of loop hole like UNC basketball did with their fake major or Miami Football did with the ponzi scheme.

Louisville was already on probation for running a brothel before this.... I really don’t have any sympathy for OSU and hope the others schools get more penalties. All of these players and coaches knew the situation when they joined. I get the disappointment but this has been in the news for years and they chose to ignore the situation and assume it wouldn’t affect them.

Not sure how it can be said that Boynton knew Evans was taking money to steer current players to agents, he was hired in March of 2017, the charges on Evans came out in September of 2017... Kansas, LSU, Arizona etc deserve whatever penalties that come but schools like OSU & Creighton shouldn't get a severe penalty for the non recruiting actions of an assistant coach in my opinion...

Yeah but they were both Assistants together under Underwood at OSU. Boynton had even promoted Evans to Associate Head Coach after he was hired but before all of this came out. So, either Evans hid all of his actions real well or maybe it was a calculated risk that backfired.

Yeah but they were both Assistants together under Underwood at OSU. Boynton had even promoted Evans to Associate Head Coach after he was hired but before all of this came out. So, either Evans hid all of his actions real well or maybe it was a calculated risk that backfired. Oklahoma State faced a single Level I violation. It was an unethical conduct charge levied at former assistant coach Lamont Evans, who accepted at least $18,150 in bribes from financial advisors in exchange for peddling influence over one player from Oklahoma State and one player from South Carolina, where Evans was coaching before accepting a job on Brad Underwood’s staff in the spring of 2016. Evans was also accused of giving Jeffery Carroll $300.This gets to the core of the problem when it comes to NCAA enforcement: They far too often punish players and coaches for violations that they took no part in. What did Cunningham, or anyone else on Oklahoma State’s roster, have to do with Lamont Evans accepting bribes from a white collar felon that had been flipped by the FBI? How was anyone associated with the Oklahoma State athletic department supposed to prevent one assistant coach from accepting those bribes?
“A postseason ban for a bunch of kids that were 15, 16 years old when a lot of this was going on? It’s completely, completely out of bounds,” Boynton said.
