Charlie Ward is his coach. FSU would have to be seen as the favorite if the choose to jump in.

I would have also thought that Florida State would be the heavy favorite for this young man, but maybe it is a case where he wants to leave his home area for school. It would be nice for that dynamic to work in the favor of the Hoyas for once!!!!

Ward and Ewing were Knick teammates.

Georgetown: “I just recently had a Zoom with them (Nov. 18). They want me to come in as a freshman and start right away. They’re recruiting me to be an impact player for their offense. The way they run their offense is set up for their wings and guards to score the ball and run in transition.”

I consider it good news that we're still in the mix for him, and we're one of the 5 schools he's mentioning as prioritizing him. Michigan has been thought to be the favorite for a while, but they're really recruiting well and he'd have to either outplay Frankie Collins or back him up for 3 years. At Georgetown he'd have a realistic chance to be the starter on Day 1. Not selling short Dante Harris or some of the other young guys on the team/committed, as I'm sure they'd have something to say about that. But he wouldn't have any 4 or 5 star guys ahead of him here. If Michigan goes another direction or looks less appetizing due to others at the same position, or if he sees the merits of staying near home, we seem reasonably well-positioned. Notice that the Terps are not on the list (they took a commitment from another WCAC point guard in the same class) so we are the most logical destination for any point guards from the area in '22 who want to stay near home (McDaniel, Rice, Dinkins, etc.).

Michigan also has Zeb Jackson. Rn he's more of a Combo but is working on being more of a PG and will be a junior by the time Dug is on Campus. If he develops hard to imagine PG will be a priority for UM.

We may only have one or 2 spots open for this class. Who do you want most? I'd like Jalen Bradley or Rodney Rice at guard and 7 footer Donovan Clingan, as my dream class if there are only 2. .

If we only had one spot, I'd want Tyrell Ward (Wing from DeMatha). Although I'd definitely be cool with Rodney Rice too lol. The reason I say Ward is mainly bc it seems like the interest is mutual with him. When we were recruiting Malachi Smith, Tyrell was in the comments of one of his posts lowkey advocating for Smith to come play at Georgetown If there's another spot, I like Dug McDaniel's game from PVI. Not sure our chances on him though

I won’t rest until we have 5 centers on our team in an environment where some teams play small and out-agile traditional Centers. (Yes, I realize Q might be off to greener pastures but my point still holds)
