The main reason I compared wilson and carter is because they both can play anywhere between the 3 to the 5, having a respectable shooting stroke, and both seem to have defensive upside. I don't know all that much about Carter's game yet so I would never try to say its a perfect comparison, as it seems he might play more with the ball in his hands while most of Wilson's game comes from put backs and spot-up shooting, but I think there are enough general similarities to warrant the comparison. I don't remember thinking too much about Wilson's athleticism when he was a recruit, but admittedly his athletic abilities seem far beyond Carter at this point.

I noticed that too, in his videos. I wouldn't call him a center, but he does seem to have solid hands around the basket, a d while I really didn't see much desire to set up there, he did seem more than capable of finishing down low, which could help to keep defenses honest.

Actually, they're tied at an 82 rating, which I think is low for both of them...Javian to me should be in the 5-6 range of centers and Carter listed with the PFs...

The fact they have him listed at Center gives you a glimpse into how many times they have actually seen him play.... If you don't play on a sponsored AAU team it's hard to get seen.

Most kids aren't listed as centers even though they are capable of playing it. Means nothing.

I see a lot of Paul White in this fellas game! Paul definitely the better passer from what I have seen, but Grayson might be the better athlete. Should be the perfect stretch 4 in an NBA spread the floor offense.

Denton Guyer Makes Case for No.1 Spot in 6A
Coming off last year's disappointing first-round playoff exit at the hands of Euless Trinity, Denton Guyer looks hungry to prove themselves in the state's biggest classification. The Wildcats' starting 5 might be the strongest in the state, and looked the part in a win over defending 5A champs Mansfield Timberview. With De'Vion Harmon serving as the team's primary ball handler, Guyer has an elite guard who can score and distribute with ease. Jalen Wilson will be one of the most dangerous players in the 2019 class, and his frontcourt partner-Georgetown commit-Grayson Carter will pose all kinds of matchup problems thanks to his range and pick-and-pop game. La'Tre Darthard is a tough matchup on the wing, and JaKobe Coles provides depth on the interior. Regardless of how they finish, plenty of eyes will be on Guyer this season.
Fwiw Wilson and Harmon are both ranked in the top 50 for Rivals 2019 rankings. Figure the staff will see them play this year when they go watch Carter but before we see a bunch of updates on these two, there's no reason to believe recruiting Carter will help with them. Recruiting does not usually work that way.

Denton Guyer Quest for State Title Denton Guyer have a good mix of size, athleticism and the ability to score inside and out. With a strong two-way backcourt of 2019 DeVion Harmon and 2018 Calvashawn Darthard, both players looked to disrupt the flow of the opposing teams offense and connected on jumpers and finishes around the rim. 2019 Jalen Wilson ran the floor and displayed his nice stroke from the perimeter coming off the catch and on the move as well. 2020 Jakobe Coles and 2018 Georgetown commit Grayson Carter are a mismatch nightmare with their ability to stretch the floor, put the ball on the ground and use their size to finish through contact. The quest for a 6A state title won’t be easy but Guyer has the talent to bring home the hardware. www.texasboysbasketball.com/2017/09/19/5-story-lines-from-gaso-fall-shootout/

Am I the only one who is confused as to whether Carter attends Guyer HS in Denton or Bishop Dunne in Dallas?? I want to go watch him play this year but the 2 school are about 40 miles apart.
