NC State. The Wolfpack are the team to beat for four-star junior Roosevelt Wheeler. They have invested the most into his recruitment and is the only program to have already hosted him on an official visit. Just two weeks ago, we reported the news that Kevin Keatts was on hand for one of Wheeler's games and I would expect for Wheeler to remain their top big man priority in the 2021 class. Will that lead to an early commitment? I am not sure but I am fairly certain that the Wolfpack have already laid the groundwork that might lead to the John Marshall High product playing for Keatts in Raleigh. Georgetown , Kansas, Miami, Providence and Virginia Tech sit among the others that have offered. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/wednesday-s-leftovers-texas-tech-five-stars-roosevelt-wheeler

Pat being in the new Jordan documentary is good exposure to his prominence in my opinion. I’ve heard nobody knows who Ewing is though why would they let him be in it? Don’t they keep up with communications’ analytics? Ja! I would have plenty TV/video screens all over the JT2 Center's lobby showing Pat's contribution to that documentary on a loop when recruits come in. How about also showing the NBA teams practicing there? Have a plaque or something that reads: Celtics', Charlotte's home in DC... Impress the recruits!!!

when it comes to Trevor Keels and team takeover it's like pulling teeth for Ewing trying to recruit in the DMV. There was some talk that Trevor Keels was close to a commitment last week, but that didn't happen. I am not sure if Keels will wait until the fall to decide, but I do believe that Villanova is in a good spot, as is Virginia. Duke, North Carolina and Ohio State are three others in the picture. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/wednesday-leftovers-kentucky-chaundee-brown-more

I really think that Coach Ewing's recruiting pitch is resonating with some of the higher ranked players he is pursuing. You hear a lot of positive comments about Ewing and the program from these players and it sounds like they like what they are hearing. I think Ewing had the program on the right track and was a tournament appearance away from starting to land some of these players. Then the transfers occurred last season, along with the late injuries, and the season turned into a mess and left everyone wondering what was going on with the program. Ewing and the staff have to bear at least some of the responsibility for what happened and I am sure that is part of the negative recruiting that is being used against the Hoyas now by competing program, which to be fair is just part of the recruiting game. If they can get beyond the mess that was last year and have a respectful season this upcoming year then hopefully that recruiting message and some positive news about the program will land a few of these highly rated recruits.

Three-star wing Casey Simmons likely would have been one of the few trending names after the evaluation periods last month but despite the recruiting shutdown, he still found a way to catch the attention of a number of high-major coaching staffs.
Simmons’ junior high school season tape shows his improved perimeter jumpshot, his size and length and also his positional versatility.
Running with the Mass Rivals program, Simmons already held offers from Brown, Northwestern, Penn, Rhode Island, Temple and Yale coming into April, and had taken unofficial visits to Penn, Rhode Island, Temple and Yale within the past year.
His recruitment took a change for the better last week with offers from Boston College, Georgetown and Texas, and it won’t be long before more high-majors jump into the picture. Miami, Pitt, UConn and Xavier have also expressed interest.
Simmons is not anywhere near deciding, but he was hoping to take official visits to Northwestern and Penn this spring before the pandemic hit. Once on and off campus recruiting is allowed, Simmons might be one of the more recruited prospects in the region.
Definitely shows what his priorities may be in choosing a program...

Baldwin Jr., is a Wisconsin native. Hopefully, Sibley can give him some positive insight in joining GU next season.
