She is not running for Georgetown anymore, but former Hoya Sam Nadel finished 8th in the 5000m in 15:48.93 to help Oregon women win the outdoor meet to go along with the indoor meet and the XC meet.

Is sam Nadel the only person to be on NCAA winning XC team at two schools(I think she was also on the GU NCAA Champs). Obviously we could have used her but it looks like she made the right choice for a postgrad yr-nice improvement for her at the 5K.

Probably best time by Amos in the 1500m this year; equivalent to a 4-minute mile, but not fast enough to qualify him for nationals on time.

Darren had the fastest last lap in the SC by almost 2 seconds. Scott had the 3rd fastest. I just happened to be flipping channels last night and came across the 3000m steeplechase on ESPNU. Naturally, I stopped and watched it. Holy moly what a kick by Fahy on the last lap. With three to go, he and Carpenter looked like they were next to last, ahead of only one runner. To make moves like that and move up to 2nd/5tin the last 800, basically... pretty darn gutsy strategy.

I had been waiting for this result. The men finished 6th in the overall standings that encompass XC, indoor, and outdoor track. www.guhoyas.com/sports/m-xctrack/spec-rel/061317aaa.htmlQuite a performance by the men. Kudos to Scott Carpenter, who was instrumental at scoring in all three venues.
