Yeah, I brought my mom to the game who has some trouble walking, and our mostly St. Johns section freaked out along with Mullin and started getting into it with some of the Georgetown fans in front of us. There was screaming and yelling, and some of the St. Johns people called security to try to get some Georgetown fans thrown out. They weren't successful. No fights broke out, but it was getting uncomfortably close. I really, really didn't need that at the time. So if there's more stuff like that, I can bring back my long dormant St. Johns hate. It's like they expected me to shut up just because the game was at "their house." That's basically what they said to security. They complained that one Georgetown fan was really annoying them, but security didn't do anything. Thank God they didn't pull a Charles Oakley this time!

Not quite 85-esque, but it got the juices flowing briefly

1) Pryor's first half dunk 2) Baby Wade going off after intermission 3) The heated exchange
Exciting game. Too bad that we didn't win. I wish MD would've avoided rushing his last shot. Damn!

Perhaps? If Peak leaves, we will be absolutely horrible. Not necessarily "horrible", although it might take a whole lot to get to "mediocre". Jessie and Marcus have the tools to be consistent major contributors; they need to work very hard on their moves inside, and definitely on agility. Jagan needs to shoot 500 jumpers a day. Waters can make everyone better if he does not try to do too much. Walker's grit might rub off on some other guys. And we might strike gold with another grad transfer or a late recruit. But it will take a lot. If JTIII stays on, he and his assistants will have to figure out much better ways to instill proper defense and rebounding fundamentals. And if Tremont can truly lead us, they need to adjust the offense to give him freedom. I disagree. If Peak leaves we will be horrible. You are correct - Jessie and Marcus have a ton of talent and tools. However, I don't see the effort that's needed to get better. I hate calling anyone lazy, but that's the best word I can come up with. Lazy passes. Lazy defense. Lazy outside shots. Lazy boxing out. I guess that all equals lazy. Sure, if they made a commitment to be in the gym shooting, practicing and getting stronger, could they be absolute studs? Absolutely. And I would LOVE to see it. But that's up to them. If they don't work their tails off between now and November, we are in trouble and longing for the day when we can call the team mediocre.

Just to put a bow on it. . .plus/minus for the St. John's BET game, as calculated from the play-by-play posted at guhoyas.com:
Derrickson +13, Peak +7, Hayes +3, Govan +2, Johnson +1, Mosely -1, Cameron -5, Agau -7, Pryor -8, Mulmore -10, Campbell DNP/coach's decision, Hines DNP/coach's decision, Mourning DNP/not dressed, Muresan DNP/coach's decision.
