The women are 7th (out of 8 teams) with 11 points with Marquette with a big lead with 81.5 points, mostly from field events. The men are tied for 6th (out of 7 teams) with 12 points, while Marquette is also leading with 50 points with Nova 2nd with 42. Again, Marquette is picking up most of its point in the field.

Sigh! Gone are the days, when the Hoyas were in the mix. They should improve their ranking tomorrow especially the men as they have several events loaded with qualifiers. The women do not have much depth this year.

Great run by Scott. To run a 4:03 for a college championship is pretty darn good, PLUS he ran away from the field. And Darren ran a good runner up mile. Joe is not a miler, so he was probably doing some over distance training to prepare for the NCAA 800m.

Women's 800m:
Event 10 Women 800 Meter Run ================================================================================= Name Year School Finals Points Alternate ================================================================================= Finals 1 Cleirigh Buttner, Siofra Villanova 2:06.63 10 2 Ciluffo, Kaley Villanova 2:09.76 8 3 Anderson, Olivia Butler 2:10.32 6 4 Donaghu, Piper Georgetown 2:10.54 5 5 Celata, Carey Georgetown 2:11.38 4 6 Parker, Alison Marquette 2:12.05 3 7 Chiller, Victoria Xavier (Ohio) 2:14.04 2 8 Jaskot, Erin Villanova 2:16.46 1
Villanova's Buttner was the overwhelming favorite. Georgetown had two, who could challenge her, but Sara Schmidt left to go back to Germany, and Sabrina Southerland is redshirting this season.

Results from the men's 800m:
Event 9 Men 800 Meter Run ================================================================================= Name Year School Finals Points Alternate ================================================================================= Finals 1 Leverenz, Johnny Butler 1:49.81 10 2 Lampinen, Ville Villanova 1:50.52 8 3 Arsenault, Scott DePaul 1:51.21 6 4 Daniels, Nolan Xavier (Ohio) 1:52.20 5 5 Cooper, Charles Georgetown 1:52.45 4 6 Nohilly, Eion Georgetown 1:53.91 3 7 Anderson, Daniel Georgetown 1:53.97 2 8 Bell, Joshua Georgetown 1:55.14 1
Wish the Hoyas could have been the first four instead of the last four, but two of our runners are freshmen, one is in his first year of running the 800m, and Joe White could have easily won the race.

Not having the 500m and 1000m is hurting the Hoyas in the standings (at least the men).

Great run by the women's 4x800 relay team as we lost to Nova by just 0.05 s. It was a two team race. They ran very well given that Emma Keenan and Sabrina Southerland are redshirting this season.

The next few event results are not complete, but they have the Hoya finishers:
Belf and Eastman go 5-7 in the 3k.
Green and Van Scoter go 2-3 in the 3000.
The 4x800 of Fahy, Brown, Cooper and Salisbury finish 2nd.
