We lose 9-3 to High Point? Maybe more than one G.U. coach needs to be on the hot seat.

I would think that both the mens and women's coaches should be on thin ice if there is no serious turnaround this yr. The women have gotten a little worse basically every year since Kim Simmonds left. The men have been a disaster as chronicled above. There's really no excuse for gtown to have a full scholarship program with these results, given the schools location, history in the sport and the demographic of most of the players. The current status of the programs certainly represents a pretty bad use of resources by the school.
Those who say results are not impt basically don't value admission + a partial free ride to gtown. The women I think still get very good recruits, though not top 5 classes like they used to. The men I think get much lower ranked recruits, though probably still ok classes. My guess is that there is a culture issue for both programs for which the coaches are certainly partly responsible. But I certainly could be wrong on this and would welcome insight from those with more firsthand knowledge.

Women lose tough overtime game to Hopkins. Combined the men and women are 1-7 this year. Both programs have been in a long steady decline. Would hope that both men's and women's coaches' seats should be heating up.

After losses today men/women are a combined 5 wins 12 losses. Both programs once elite seem to have bottomed out kind of like basketball. Wonder if there is any thought re the coaching situation by the admin.

Nice to see a win for men to end a dismal season on a high note--women get blown out by Florida--wonder if there's any thought to changing direction at both programs. By Gtwn stds they both get a fair amount of resources and neither are really competitive.
I wonder if the changes in the basketball program have caused a reevaluation of some of the other programs.

Men's lax schedule on guhoyas--pretty awful. Its gotten worse every year as the team has slipped into irrelevance. Somewhat disappointing that the athletic dept lets the coaches severely downgrade the schedule to try to make things look respectable from a w/l perspective-(I know some will use the men's bb analogy this yr but there are material differences between the sports)-don't mind some variation of the sched based on team capabilities but this is ridiculous. Its not like we don't allocate a fair bit of resources to the program
