He finally looks healthy. Please share more. He looks good vs. the past but what about his play made him look unhealthy in the past or healthy now?

His shoulder was bothering him most of last year and I believe he had surgery on it again. He has mentioned on social media (or in a preseason interview, I can't remember which) that it is finally no longer an issue. Looks much more decisive to me offensively and his outside shot seems smoother. I believe the two are related. You may not. Fair enough.

He does look much more decisively offensively. I had attributed it to maturity and being a senior but perhaps the shoulder is feeling better. I remember he sat out in the Bahamas due to that shoulder surgery IIRC. And the shot looks smooth and confident. I will take all of it.

It is interesting to see how KenPom’s analytics is characterizing Jagan. He is classified as ‘nearly invisible’ because his % of possessions is only 10.7%, but his season to date offensive rating is 170.8. He is #2 in the country in effective field goal % as he is perfect from 2 and 3 but has missed 2 free throws.
Jagan has been anything but invisible the last two games.

Jagan looks ready to live up to and exceed expectations. Through injuries and the coaching change, he’s preserved through a lot. He’s been great so far. I see him steadying MacKinjo as well as leading the second unit. End of game situations as well.

That dunk on the break against Ga St is what I was talking about. No hesitation, full extension. That wasn't really happening last year, except once near the end of the year.

I just wish he practiced his corner three 1000 times a day this summer....if he could scrap together 2 /4 or 2/5 threes a agame it would open so much up. And allow him to cut for a few bunnies also

That was a nice dunk Mosely had, but he needs to get back on D immediately.

Pat is realizing (this started last year) that Jagan is best suited as a smaller 3. He's physical and athletic enough to cover SFs, but his offensive warts aren't as pronounced there. If he can hit some open threes and help out in the press break, that's a great complement.
The same with Jamorko at the 4.
The obvious problem is... they're both starting over Josh.
I think these first 4 games - and the last half dozen from last year - are more or less an open tryout for that SF spot. On a normal day, you'd hope J & J can both hit an open look and play a little defense.
So the question for Pat is... with James, Mac, Josh, and Yurt, do we need a little more height/length or a bit more quickness & ball handling/ movement at the SF spot?
My guess is Josh comes back in to start over Pickett. But they'll all be 18-28 minute guys on any given night.

To be fair he did hesitate for a second to admire his dunk and then had an oh snap look on his face and went on to hustle back on defense

I was just thinking about Mosely and how many good things he does in a game like OSU that just don’t show up in the box score. He is making a difference out there. I wonder if the offense that we all enjoyed with the great ball movement was a function of having both Mosely who we know is a ball-mover and Allen, a pass first PG, on the court at the same time. When 40% of your team is focused on moving the ball, that leadership likely bleeds over to the others. I hope the hypothesis is proven against SMU.

Moseley has become an invaluable member of this team. And he basically leads the world in charges taken. You can definitely see the ball moves quickly when it’s in his hands, and as someone pointed out in another thread I think, the fact that Moseley and Allen both push the ball up court with passes helped a lot in setting up quick offense and getting good looks. He’s not really a threat to score as we know, and that will probably be more glaring in games where Mac and/or Yurt are off, but the other stuff he does is so valuable.
