Dan, what do you supposed he means by that? I think he means he is expanding his game and is ready to play a key role.

Jagen with a confident three point shot = no more box
Hope he gets there this season

Every year there are posts predicting that Jagan's minutes and contributions will decrease as others come in. And every year he just keeps contributing. All I know is that Jagan is tough as nails, works his butt off and gives 100% every moment he is on the floor (and I have no doubt every minute of practice, off-season work, etc.). We will be very glad that he is a Hoya again this season.

Lineup of Jagan, Allan, Myron, Pickett and Wilson/Q if we need a defensive stop?

Lineup of Jagan, Allan, Myron, Pickett and Wilson/Q if we need a defensive stop? Josh has to be there: Allen, Myron, Pickett, Josh, Wilson/Q2 (in Spanish). If Wilson can play the 4, then watch out: Allen, Pickett, Josh, Wilson, Q2.

All of your lineups seem to have a nose for the ball, just need to be consistent - is this the year we defensive rebound well, I hope so!

Haven’t seen enough Myron as a freshman to know if he will be a lockdown defender year 1.

You would be giving up 3 inches of a lockdown defender: basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/grind-session-senior-wing-myron-gardner-talks-visits-and-interestThere’s a mystique around here that Jagan is this pretty good defender. His defense seems better than it is because he has been an average defender in bad defending teams. But, I’ll give him that he’s the best charge-taker in a Hoya uniform I’ve ever seen.

Jagan is a senior. He's been through a lot of the team's ups and downs, and has stayed the course. Jagan has always given his best effort. Never any problems, complaints or issues, always a positive influence. He's on schedule to graduate next spring.
I hope he proves to Coach that he deserves an important role on the team this year based on his talent, experience and commitment. Rooting for you Jagan... for you and the team. Have a great year!

I will give you that it may be a little bit of a reach to label Jagan as a lockdown defender. But at the same time - being a lockdown defender at the high school level does not automatically make you one at the college level. We will have to see how it translates for Myron.

I’m sure he’s a strong candidate for team captain.

I’m sure he’s a strong candidate for team captain. As is usually the case at GU with four-year seniors who have played good minutes every year....

Jagan adds an element of maturity and toughness to this team which will be important this season. I am hoping for a big year from Jagan in whatever role the staff puts him in. He seems to be a class kid and I wish him all the best for this season and his career after after Georgetown.

Jagan was every bit the lockdown defender in high school and has been a very good defender for us. I think Gardner will turn into a very good defender for us as well but am not ready to put him in front of Jagan on this effort when his experience at the college level hasn't been tested yet.

Hope he is referring to the ball behind him and not the junk he’s holding in front
