Obama spent 8 years blaming his predecessor for everything from a poor economy to bad weather. Obama has yet to do anything wrong in his life, just ask him. His only flaw is that he is not effective in showing people just how wonderful he is. Did Obama cause Assad to gas his people? Of course not. Did Obama help create the environment under which he could? Damn straight he did. I should introduce you to my mother, just turned 99. You and she would hit it off famously. And by the way, don't take that as an indication that she must have a screw loose. She has all her faculties (except she can't hear much). She and I often get into arguments over who was the worse president, Obama or W.

And in a new land speed record, the Grand Egomaniac will surface next month in the Obama Foundation Summit.
Set to allow young people to "exchange ideas", one wonders how much free and open debate there will actually be.
The potential topics boggle the mind: "Alinsky v Ayers-- who is the greater hero?" "Erasable Ink for Red lines--the thinking man's solution".... "
Can't wait for the fawning press coverage.

"Grand Egomaniac?" Trump was invited to speak at the Obama Foundation Summit?

If your biggest gripe about what's going on in this country right now is that the former President (you know, a fairly prominent public figure) is promoting an event that he's hosting and taking part in, maybe you need to reevaluate a few things.

Not my biggest gripe at all. In fact I am pleased to see he is behaving exactly as I expected. He is pathologically unable to keep himself out of the spotlight.

I'm so happy for you that you were right, though.

President Obama could stand in the middle of 5th Ave. and do nothing, and Elvado would swear he shot somebody...

He was unbeaten at the time of that fight, IIRC.

Why does anyone engage Elvado? This whole thread should just be titled "false equivalencies" and have only one poster.

One laudable tradition that has been mostly honored by outgoing Presidents is staying quiet and refraining from criticism of his successor. Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, GHWB, Clinton and GWB have all observed this in my lifetime. Will Mr. **Trump follow suit? How's this going?

Sadly, he too has decided to speak when he should listen.
It was a laudable tradition.

Sadly, he too has decided to speak when he should listen. It was a laudable tradition. 2 months in and Trump has basically become a cable news pundit and above you’re complaining about Obama having a youth summit. Let’s not even pretend these are the same thing or that this wasn’t predictable when you started this thread. By this time in the Trump presidency your guy was accusing Obama of illegal surveillance and treason. Laughable to try and both sides this or compare the two. Keep that same energy you had before.
