Who is this kid. Not ranked not high major offers?
This is who we give our last scholarship to? A point guard when we already have to 2 freshman pgs plus Harris and Mcclung. Lord help us all.
Please tell me he is a walk on.

Always a good thing when we win a recruiting battle against...Penn?

To try and stay positive...
Kid is 6'3" so he may have been a PG at one point and is more of a SG now? Just speculating.
Other positive, dude can shoot the ball. Just watched a video of him hitting 7 3's in a half...
Still feels odd and wildly out of the blue...

Even without him, I still wanted one redshirt. But now it's just chaos.

This board baffles me. Everyone clamoring for a shooter, he signs one that played in a elite HS program and its seen as a negative. Dont know crap about the kid, I wouldnt take who recruited him as a big thing, there are always guys like this who get offers late when its thought they were going Ivy and they express the desire to play in a higher competitive conference. The PG thing that's just from you everyone this height has to play this position crowd.

3 centers last year, 4 point guards this year. Hard to keep folks happy. Berger has a nice stroke with range, but low release and not BE caliber athlete. Also, doesn’t finish with left hand like Akinjo. Hope for the best.

basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/chick-fil-a-classic-jalen-green-leaves-his-markPenn and Eastern Kentucky will enroll ready-to-go guards. The Quakers have not struggled to find success during the Steve Donahue era and that success rate should continue during the years that TJ Berger is on campus. He is a capable shot maker that brings great size to the backcourt where he can even be relied upon for playmaking duties.

His release isnt an issue, he has played in a highly competitive conference with several NBA players have come from.

Listed as a PG, but probably takes Blair’s spot (who also wasnt herralded out of HS). Maybe redshirts to keep class balance.
J. Harris takes Terrell’s spot, Beard takes Mosleys, d. Harris takes Akinjos and this kid takes Blair’s when he leaves. Then sign a really good scoring guard in 21 to take Mac’s scholly
Don’t know much about him, but looking for positives/reasoning behind the signing. Also after next season there’s a good chance we only have 3 guards on the roster. So it might seem like a lot now, but we’ll still have some openings for later classes

Very confused on timing and about roster construction but welcome TJ!! I think this means staff views him as more of a SG. If he can knock down open threes consistently he will be a big help. Good luck to TJ and I hope he has a great career as a Hoya.

I don't have a problem with the Berger commitment. He has size (6'3") and can shoot (40%+ 3FG) . As a PG, he fits with the pass first philosophy. We are taking some risks, but the cream will rise to the top.

Could be that bucket-getter we been needing. Like the way this coaching staff works.

He’s 6-4 now, and can play the 1,2, and some 3....Recently de-comm from penn late month, and had Offers from seton hall, and Oregon.

hoopseen.com/news/event/201912/slam-dunk-beach-sunday-notebook............ TJ Berger, Westtown (PA): The future Penn guard shot very well all weekend long, drilling shots from a step behind the triple line. He also showed some put-it-on-the-floor swagger. Berger finished with 23 points on 6-10 shooting from the floor, including 5-8 from three and 6-8 from the foul line. Berger also ripped down seven boards and passed quite well. What a nice player for the Quakers.
