scout.com/college/north-carolina/Article/2020-UNC-Basketball-Recruit-Intro-Jaden-Springer-109387676Jaden Springer Today, Springer is 6-4 and is training to play the guard position. That could change, though. His two older brothers and his father all checked in at 6-7 or taller. Even at 6-4, Springer models his game after an NBA all-star: Toronto Raptors all-star Demar DeRozan. "I'm a strong defensive player," Jaden Springer said. "I take a lot of my moves from DeMar DeRozan. I can handle the ball, I can pass, shoot, and I can score. But there's still a lot of things I need to improve on. I need to work on expanding my range a little bit, and improving my ball handling. I was told I could be anywhere between 6-7 to 6-10, so hopefully I'll get to that height and then I'd play on the wing." __ Georgia Tech, N.C. State, UCLA, Auburn, Maryland, Tennessee, South Carolina, Wake Forest, and Virginia Tech have offered him a scholarship, with Wake Forest, N.C. State, Maryland, Tennessee and Georgetown already receiving unofficial visits. Kentucky and Kansas are showing interest, and have been to Rocky River to watch him in open gym. "I'm just trying to learn more about the schools," Springer said. "I'm looking at what school I could make an impact at coming out of high school, and what school would help me get better as a basketball player and a person, and I'd want to do well in the classroom, too." For now, the Springer family is content with helping Jaden improve. They're not looking to commit early and while it's exciting when scholarship offers come, that's not something the family is thinking too much about. With double-digit offers from high-major programs, Springer is feeling lots of love but he hasn't yet found specific programs that stick out to him. "I know that Wake Forest and NC State and Maryland and schools like that have been on me real hard," Springer said. "I've been seeing them a lot but there's not one school that is really standing out just yet." One thing that Springer has been very good about is visiting the programs showing interest. He's already seen Kentucky, North Carolina, NC State, Maryland, Georgetown , South Carolina, Tennessee and Wake Forest. Often times when a player takes that many early visits, it's indicative of wanting to make an early decision. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/five-star-jaden-springer-is-one-of-2020-s-most-explosive-scorers

Elijah Wood Georgetown is also one of Wood’s favorites. “I love Patrick Ewing, how Coach [Robert] Kirby has come in and told me bad things about my game and what I can work on to get better,” Wood said of Georgetown. Wood has had more recruiting activity with Georgetown that any other school combining visits to campus and visits from coaches. He attended Georgetown’s game against Villanova earlier this season. Wood sits on the right in the photo below at the Georgetown game. Wood has taken two unofficial visits to Georgetown, one to St. Joesph’s, one to George Washington, one to West Virginia (for the West Virginia/Kentucky game) along with the one to St. John’s. Wood has been receiving interest, but no offers yet, from some of the nations top programs, namely West Virginia, UNC and Kentucky. Wood said that Kentucky will be coming to his AAU games later this year. It came as no surprise when Wood told me that the schools he had higher interest in at this point are the ones he has actually visited. Wood said that he plans to visit other schools on his list down the road. “Anyone who will come talk to me some more, I’d be happy to go see what they have. I really want to get out to visit more, just to experience the college feel,” Wood said. It’s clear that Wood has a lot of potential, and being just a sophomore, he will have time to develop into a better player before stepping on campus at whichever school he chooses. If the pass-first guard can fill out his 6’5” frame in the weight room, he could be even tougher to stop. His recruiting process still has a long way to go, but for now, St. John’s is certainly a contender to land this high ceiling point guard. www.rumbleinthegarden.com/2018/2/18/17008662/recruting-profile-2020-pg-elijah-wood-st-johns-bethesda-chevy-chase-georgetown-west-virginia georgetown.rivals.com/news/wood-has-schools-wonderingRanked No. 68, the four-star wing has already received scholarship offers from Texas Tech, Texas A&M, Kansas State, Georgia Tech, UNLV, St. John’s and a handful of others. Taking an unofficial visit to Kentucky earlier this winter, the 6-foot-5 sophomore discussed his development heading into his junior travel ball season. “My jump shot and 3-pointer, just getting that more consistent, and my body, trying to get strength and everything correct,” he said. While only St. John’s has offered, Wood told Rivals that the Red Storm, Oregon, South Carolina and Louisville have been the most active in the early portion of his recruitment. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/class-of-2020-four-star-elijah-wood-seeing-recruitment-increase

Jabri Abdur-Rahim
If Georgetown is listed twice, does that mean the Hoyas have a better shot at him?

Christian Wright is a 6-foot-3, 180-pound point guard for Milton who holds offers from Western Carolina and Georgia Tech. While his play on the court certainly stands out — he averaged 23 points, seven assists and five rebounds as a sophomore — he might be just as known for his signature goggles.
_
While Wright currently holds only two offers, that could soon change. UCLA, Georgetown, Auburn, Indiana and Missouri are among those that have expressed interest. And others could enter the mix with Wright showcasing his abilities on the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League circuit this summer while playing for the Georgia Stars.

* At 6-foot-10 with long arms and a nice frame, 2020's No. 51 ranked player Mark Williams looks the part. He plays it too. Williams impressed with his ability to protect the rim, rebound on the interior and run the floor. Even more impressive was the touch he's starting to show on short jumpers and how much more physical he's gotten. Virginia, Virginia Tech, Georgetown, LSU, VCU, Clemson and Oklahoma State were all wise to offer early.

I assume from these tweets that Abou Ousmane is reclassifying from 2019 to 2020 and transferring to Putnam Science Academy.

Henry coleman III picked up an offer today. A Team Loaded/Trinity Episcopal wing from Richmond. Would like to see this one happen but obviously it's early.
