I have heard less than impressive reports on the twins. One of them is not trending towards high major caliber. I had definitely heard that over the winter but based on the recent play it seems like they're both trending upwards. I'd be more then happy to take both as a package, as long as that doesn't stop us from getting a true 5

Both twins and Stewart is a very big group of '19s.
Don't know what the roster will look like by then, but hopefully one of them would/could be a 5.

I have heard less than impressive reports on the twins. One of them is not trending towards high major caliber. I was wondering about this. Every report I've seen on HT seems to suggest that one twin(not sure which one) is a beast and the other we would be taking with the package. Is this true? No they are both viable prospects. One is just much better than the other right now. When they first hit the radar, many projected them as a 5 star package. People tend to overrate big men early on because they get noticed first. Still plenty of time in their development. They need to work on their bodies. We should continue to monitor them. But they aren't must gets in my book. I didn't watch them play this season, just share what Friends/Coaches have shared with me.

32 is the bro who is in the top 25. 34 is the brother who is top 100 right now...

No inside info but based on Pat's activity with other players don't think they will be a priority moving forward..

No inside info but based on Pat's activity with other players don't think they will be a priority moving forward.. “They are just now showing us a lot of love. It was Georgetown originally but now it’s Maryland.” Prediction: Georgetown was the early leaders in the clubhouse with the Mitchell brothers, siblings that will attend college together in the fall of 2019. Upon the hiring of former Hoyas' assistant Kevin Broadus, Maryland now is the squad to beat for the talented big men out of the DMV.

Tge proof will be in the signings, but Mr. Ewing is putting in lots of work.

You cannot say Ewing isn't going all out on the recruiting front. Really impressed with how many kids he's bringing on campus. So far, so good.

So much for them not being a priority.
Gotta love how hard Patrick is working to elevate our program.

One of the better – and certainly one of the most physical – 16U teams in the country is the DC Blue Devils, led by four-star trio of twin big men Makhi Mitchell and Makhell Mitchell and scoring wing Marvin Price. Big and strong, what really stands out about the Mitchell twins is their exceptional hands, soft touch and passing ability. Makhi is more of a scorer at this point while Makhel is the setup guy. They are both maturing into incredibly strong interior players and will become priorities. Look for Maryland – Mark Turgeon watched – to be among the early frontrunners. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/live-period-five-observations-from-under-armour-wednesday

"Twin forwards Makhi and Makhel Mitchell are receiving interest from Texas A&M and “high interest” from N.C. State, D.C. Blue Devils Coach Brian Inge told The Post on Monday. The Mitchells, who attend McNamara and play for the D.C. Blue Devils’ 16U team, are in the Class of 2019 and set on making a college decision together. They have offers from Georgetown, Maryland, Virginia Tech, Cincinnati, Georgia Tech, Memphis and Penn State, among other schools. Makhel is 6-foot-9, and Makhi is 6-foot-8." www.washingtonpost.com/news/recruiting-insider/wp/2017/07/18/rock-creeks-jermaine-harris-is-down-to-eight-schools-and-other-local-recruiting-updates/?utm_term=.be18730baf37

And UMCP strikes back. I like the one kid more, but they're obviously a package deal. And I'd rather have JP next year than wait for these two.

They would be Hoyas if Broadus were here. Like Makhi, Makhel has a long way to go.

I'd rather have one Isaiah Stewart in '19 than two Mitchell brothers.
But if Kofi Cockburn wanted to show up, too, that'd be nice.
