Unlike many of our home games this year, they had to like what they saw yesterday!

Unlike many if our home games this year, they had to like what they saw yesterday! What was the atmosphere like at Verizon? Student turnout? From tv, it looked like a lot of empty seats in the arena and part of the student section was covered.

From tv, it looked like a lot of empty seats in the arena and part of the student section was covered. Attendance stated at 11,000+. Part of the student section near the pep band was covered. I think the attendance was good and atmosphere matched that because we witnessed a rare Hoya blowout. I too wasn't comfortable until we got below the 4 minutes mark and felt that it was in the bag. I kept yelling to stay aggressive at the 8 minute timeout.

Strong recruiting makes up for a lot. We need good pieces around Waters.

No kid from the class of '19 is going to commit to Georgetown right now. Why would they? As much as I don't think JTIII is getting fired this year, there is no way anyone watching what is going on can feel really confident JTIII will be here in 2-3 years, unless they start winning games.

Well, maybe he would want to go to a great school and play in a major conference basketball league.
Any "commitment" now would not be binding, and could be pulled if the coach is gone.

I think a lot of kids would want to go to a great school and play in a major conference basketball league, but why would they make even a verbal commitment at this point until they get closer to graduating high school and have a better sense of what is happening at the school. There is plenty of time for these twins to wait and see what happens with Georgetown over the next year or two. Don't get me wrong, I would be thrilled to get some early commitments from some highly rated recruits, but it seems very unlikely until the program shows some stability and that it is moving in the right direction.

Impressed with the improved mobility/athleticism. How about a 2019 class of the Mitchell twins and Stewart? We'd be set down low.

I have heard less than impressive reports on the twins. One of them is not trending towards high major caliber.

I have heard less than impressive reports on the twins. One of them is not trending towards high major caliber. I was wondering about this. Every report I've seen on HT seems to suggest that one twin(not sure which one) is a beast and the other we would be taking with the package. Is this true?
