Pathetic showing by students for their classmates.
No excuses - 5:00 PM in the center of campus (no annoying buses to take, no admission fee, no nothing).
You'd think Hoya Blue would have a passing interest, but apparently not.
SMH.

Those kids will look back someday on the wonderful 15 extra minutes they spent in Pierce Reading Room.
Hope the chants for our wonderful Womens' Soccer team did not disturb any of the snowflakes.

One of the best memories I have of GU was meeting and cheering for JT2 and the team returning from New Orleans after the heartbreaker to UNC in 1982. Between the no-shows for the women's team and the embarrassing size of the crowds at the last few home games, what kind of weenies are we admitting now?

The ultimate result was a hard one to process for those of us who have followed this team from the beginning... losing 1-0 on a goal to the eventual National Champion outside the run of play - well, that stings. On the other hand, I maintain that the Hoyas chances in Palo Alto would've been quite slim indeed, so can we really be upset or disappointed at how things turned out? In the broad scheme of things: no. The challenge now will be to build on this. It is a real challenge. The men followed up their College Cup appearance with some success, most notably last year's untoppable sweep of the Big East regular season and tournament... but faltered in the NCAAs. Regardless, it's a long-term kind of thing. Hopefully, the TAC's top notch locker rooms and facilities convince many coming generations of young soccer players that the Hilltop is where they want to ply their craft. The closing note on this season: well-deserved honors for the coaches: www.guhoyas.com/sports/w-soccer/spec-rel/122016aaa.htmlCongratulations to irrepressibly Irish Dave Nolan, second-year assistant coaches Lyndse Hokanson and Kristen Meier, and athletic trainer Tori Lycett and strength and conditioning coach Ben Hoffman. Many teams and players receive many plaudits over the course of a season. To be voted by your peers as being at the pinnacle of your craft - that's the sort of thing you take with you into the sunset. These are very special people, and we are all fortunate and privileged to have gotten to share in their excellence.
