Oh, so those people didn't take advantage of all of the other days they could have voted early? Shame on them There could be many reasons for that, but you're right they should be punished for it.... Pretty sure we are on he opposite ends of the Political spectrum but I hope your voting experience is quick and easy as it's intended to be... Maybe in the future you will fell the same about other Americans...

If only it were *smart* people voting who knew how to prioritize their lives.

So this impacted early voting how? Probably in the same way giving every county only one high school (regardless of population) would impact learning...

This is quite an amazing reply, as it actually gets dumber every time I read it. While all the words form a complete sentence/thought, it's makes absolutely no sense as an actual response to the previous chain of posts. Lewis Black's "If it wasn't for my horse" bit was the first thing that ran through my head after reading it...

So where do things stand now? Are accurate election results still something that only conspiracy theorist crybaby Bernie Bros whine about? Is discussion about inaccurate general election results still only done by Russian secret agents who are attempting to undermine the holy sanctity of our results?
I still can't stand Trump and think he's going to be awful for this country, but the constant doubling down and painfully direct hypocrisy of the Dems isn't doing them any favors.

What exactly are you talking about? Are you talking about the petition to convince electoral college electors to vote for Hillary? Who here is arguing for that? That seems completely little-d undemocratic, and is pretty much exactly what Bernie and his Bros tried to do at the end with unpledged super delegates - begging them and threatening them into installing him even though they lost the pledged delegate count and the primary popular vote. Even if you agree that the electoral college is a poor system (cosign), it sets a horrible precedent, and even if you ignore any sense of fairness and look at it solely through what sort of result you could end up with - trying to encourage faithless electors is a dumb idea because forcing it to the House is going to give you the same result. Or are we talking about the MI/WI/PA recounts, being driven by the Green Party? I think those are a money making scam that won't change the results, but don't see the harm in actually auditing the vote. Maybe it ends up improving accuracy and procedures for future elections. Everyone but Hillary has alleged that the vote is rigged (Trump, Bernie supporters, Jill Stein), so why not?

If the desire is merely to audit the vote to learn something before the next election, why are we only doing it in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania?

I've never understood why all votes weren't counted multiple times no matter the margin. Especially prior to electric polling. Even innocent mistakes are bound to be made at some point.
