Token response. If MLB wanted to send a real message protesting the Georgia bill they would cancel all games in Atlanta.

Don't mess with Texas? Texas is the next battleground for activists, where the largest number of restrictive bills (49 as of March 24) have been introduced in the state legislature. One of them — Senate Bill 7, which would ban overnight early voting and drive-through early voting — passed in the Senate and moved to the state House on Thursday morning. The House is considering its own voting bill, House Bill 6, which would prohibit election officials from sending absentee ballot applications to voters without their requests. www.washingtonpost.com/business/2021/04/02/companies-against-state-voter-restrictions/?itid=hp-top-table-main

Colorado mails everyone a ballot and has same day registration. It had the second highest turnout in the nation and you don't need an ID to vote. All you need is a current utility bill to register. The reason why there's only 15 days of early voting is because only 6% of voters vote that way. The majority vote by mail.
I'm all for making the Colorado way the standard if their laws are so restrictive like Republicans are claiming they are. How many of them do you think would be for that??

Executives from major airlines, retailers and manufacturers – plus at least one NFL owner – talked about potential ways to show they opposed the controversial legislation, including by halting donations to politicians who support the bills and even delaying investments in states that pass the restrictive measures, according to one of the organizers of the gathering, Jeffrey Sonnenfeld, a Yale management professor. www.washingtonpost.com/business/2021/04/11/companies-voting-bills-states/

Who hasn't the GOP alienated yet (other than White supremacists, neo-Nazis, and Evangelical "Christians" whose membership may be co-extensive with the aforementioned hate groups)? Hundreds of major companies and corporate leaders signed a statement released Wednesday that opposes laws that restrict voting rights, the latest step in an escalating battle over election laws being debated nationwide. The letter included support from recognizable corporate names such as Target, Netflix, Bank of America, Facebook, Cisco, Twitter, Microsoft, Starbucks, Amazon, Mastercard, American Airlines, United Airlines and Vanguard, as well as prominent people such as investor Warren Buffett, law firms and nonprofit organizations. www.washingtonpost.com/business/2021/04/14/letter-voting-georgia-buffet-target-netflix-amazon/

Millions upon millions of cultists who I suspect are not all deplorables (i.e., white supremacists, neo-Nazis, etc.). As much as the GOP deserves to be buried, we're a long way from there.

A bill which will allow Texans eligible to carry guns openly or concealed without a license to carry.
It's now much easier to walk around with a gun than it is to get behind the wheel of a car or obtain a voter registration in Texas.

Voter registration is fairly easy, except that you still have to mail it in. In 2020, 78.5% of the voting age population were registered to vote. www.sos.state.tx.us/elections/historical/70-92.shtml

Best term I've heard for it - "Electoral welfare."
