Is Pryor going to be our best player? Gotta be him or LJ but he's making a strong case this summer albeit it's Kenner. However, everyone that has watched him play says this kid can go and just gets it done. Couldn't be more excited for the season after last year's utter disappointment. We could be one of, if not, the most improved team in the country We need both those kids to be DOGS. If both play at a high level The attention they will get from Defenses will make the game so much easier for everyone else..

Is there a schedule for tomorrow? I'm planning on going (if allowed ). Not sure if Mulmore is playing for DCX or Tombs, but here is the schedule for sunday. I'm headed to the 1:00 game to see the Rodney Pryor show. 1:00 - Hoop Magic All Stars (Isaac Copeland) vs Tombs (Rodney Pryor, Jagan Mosely, Marcus Derrickson) 2:20 - Darren McClinton All Stars - Higher Level (Trey Mourning, Reggie Cameron) 3:40 - Clyde's (LJ Peak, Jessie Govan) - A.Wash Associates (Tre Campbell, Kaleb Johnson) 5:00 - On Point (Akoy Agau, Paul White) - DCX (Jonathan Mulmore, Bradley Hayes)

www.casualhoya.com/2016/7/23/12264598/kenner-league-recap-july-23-2016Jessie Govan: 22 pts, 9-15 2pt, 1-3 ft, 1-1 3pt, 8 reb (3 off), 2 asst, 1 st, 3 bl, 3 to -real strong game for Jessie vs. Mourning -Called for a moving screen on a handoff on the game’s first possession. That caused a painful little flashback to last year! -took Mourning off the dribble from the low post. Spun to his left hand to finish when Trey overplayed his right hand -very good bounce pass to peak cutting through the lane -Drove from the foul line directly into a help defender - was bailed out by what looked like a weak foul called on the defender -Best play: crossover dribble at the foul line, then hit an awkward 10 foot step back/floater hybrid shot -made an excellent pass on the run in transition - to LJ for a dunk -hit a classic Nowitzki step back 8 footer just off the baseline -used a very quick first step, spin to his right into a jump hook -Was very aggressive in his post offense all game, using his size/strength to overpower Mourning consistently -Called out picks on D all game. All of our bigs seem to be doing this much more consistently than in the past -Stepped right into a secondary break 3 from the top of the circle - just like Marcus did earlier, but in a little closer -was breathing hard in the second half (I think he played the entire game, or close to it), but continued to play hard and effectively. Sometimes Jessie gets real sloppy when he gets winded, so it was good to see him play well even though it looked like he was sucking some wind.

I am definitely a believer in Pryor after seeing him in person. Also great to see Jessie Sapp in the audience. And supposedly my friends said that Harvey Thomas played in the 2:20 game.

Guys teams are winning and they are having an impact on the scoreboard. Last year overall team success and performances seemed more muted fwiw..

Made my first and probably only trip to Kenner this summer, specifically to catch the early game with Pryor and Mosely. Definitely an added bonus to see Mulmore play as well. You guys can get the stats elsewhere, but just a couple general observations:
Nothing new, but Pryor is the real deal. Plus athleticism, aggressiveness like we haven't seen (but wished we saw) in the past from some guys, and most importantly defense and effort. He carries himself like he expects to be a leader and take over when necessary, and that's something we have sorely lacked the past few seasons post Otto.
Mixed bag for Mulmore. On one hand, he's super quick and seems comfortable attacking and finding people off the dribble. On the other hand, he seems out of control a lot of times and makes careless errors because of it. Finishing in near the rim seemed to be an issue, and didn't really show much outside shooting yesterday, so can't say if he'll be able to stretch a defense come November.
Mosely exceeded expectations. He absolutely posterized Ike on one play, and for the most part seemed under control on both ends of the floor. Along with better than expected ball-handling, I think Jiggy is going to be a calming influence this coming season and will probably see significant time because of it.
Mosely and Pryor were the only two players I can remember hitting the deck to dive for loose balls yesterday. If they care that much about a Kenner League game, their effort should translate well when the games count.
Ike and Derrickson both looked to be about the same as last year, minus maybe a little extra strength for Marcus. Biggest thing for me was watching Ike on offense. Too often when he struggled last year, he appeared as if he was thinking way too much about what to do and when to shoot. In a free flowing game where he just relied on his instincts, his jumper looked a lot better and he immediately recognized mismatches where he could use his size to his advantage. Hoping that whatever changes we make to the offense for the upcoming season will allow him to maintain that type of instinctive nature rather than be slow to react.
Biggest question in my mind now is: who starts at PG to begin the season? Gun to my head I think Mulmore begins the season at the 1 (simply because I'm not high on Tre and I don't think they would start a freshman at PG on Day 1), but there really isn't much separation yet in my eyes between Mulmore, Tre and Mosely. It's possible JTIII just goes big with a Peak/Pryor backcourt. Hopefully one of them establishes themselves as the guy sooner than later.

I agree that the biggest question is still who starts at the PG. Honestly the more and more I watch Kenner the more I think an LJ/Pryor backcourt is just fine. LJ has shown the ability to find the open man as of late and his ball handling is perfectly fine. Pryor I'm not as sure about since I've only seen him play once but I get the idea that he's experienced enough to not make too many boneheaded mistakes. But with Tre Mosely and Mulmore I highly doubt they play most of the games by themselves, one of those three will join Lj and Pryor for most of the games.

Just can't start Tre at the point. If we are going to improve our defense you cannot start our weakest defender.

I start Mulmore and hope for the best.
Do not want to place that burden on LJ to handle the ball and guard opposing PG's. Takes away from him getting into attack mode on O and asking for foul trouble on defense.
Tre (as he currently stands) can't start though. I agree with that. By any metric or eye test he was one of the worst rotation players in the BE.

The Mosely dunk was NICE. Isaac is going to hear about that one, I bet!
I also think Mulmore will start, but I wouldn't rule out Mosely. Two takeaways about him so far are he doesn't make a lot of mistakes and he competes hard on defense. He's physically ready as freshman go, too. If we have Pryor and Peak on the wings, there may be less emphasis on a guy like Mulmore who is more explosive or Tre who is (at least as a freshman) a better shooter.

I'd urge caution about whom folks would start based on Kenner. I'd start whoever wins the job in practice.

Just appreciative of the added competition at the position. Nobody should be presumed to be the guy, someone needs to step up and earn it
