Based on last year, no. Was Govan a great rebounder in H.S.? Copeland? I think Govan's a better defensive rebounder than you give him credit for. His DReb% last year was 20.5%, which was better than Sims, Otto, Josh Smith or Hopkins ever had. Hayes and Monroe had a DReb% of about 25% his sophomore year (obviously, over more minutes), so there's room for him to grow there, but having such a high percentage makes me think he has the instincts to be a good defensive rebounder, and an offseason in the squat rack will help him go from a good freshman rebounder to a good rebounder. I will give you that he wasn't a very good offensive rebounder. His OReb% was 5.8%, which is low (ideally you'd want to see double digits out of your center) but he was only a freshman, so hopefully that improves as he gets more comfortable / stronger. Having more shots at the rim would also presumably help make him more effective, since missed jump shots tend to be rebounded much further from the rim. i didnt assign credit yet ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

Coach Broadus strikes again. Rodney's highlight reel is pretty freakin' exciting to watch.

I like the fact that he did well against Duke in the tourney and against us. Probably the most accurate gauge of how he will do in a major conference.

I think Peak and Pryor can also play the 3 with their size and length at the college level. So there will be minutes for all of them.

If he can build upon Air Bowen's most recent display of the number, I'm all for it.

It would be pretty much his own. Bowen is the most recent #23, and probably the best. Go for it Rodney!

There's nothing wrong with that form...left arm tucked/facing the target (it would be a concern if flailed out to the side) and right hand on top of the ball...might be a somewhat low release point, but you can't see the finish/release point in that still...more importantly, as SaxaCD said, it he can repeat it successfully that's all that really matters...and he's had success with it...

What? ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) ? He is shooting directly in front of his face. And the guide arm is hitched too much and on top of the ball at release(you never want the guide hand on top of the ball causes sidespin)...thats the worst part of the photo. I dont know how you could say nothing wrong seeing just that part.I was not saying it has to be perfect. I was just saying it was terrible. Reegie Miller has terrible form too. The problem with bad form is it can lead to inconsistent shooting. I agree if he can repeat it but from that picture it looks terrible.

Dense, check out his highlight video. He repeats his form. I have seen it but all those are makes, but i see why he shot 43% from 3 one year and 29% last year.

Dense, check out his highlight video. He repeats his form. I have seen it but all those are makes, but i see why he shot 43% from 3 one year and 29% last year. He also suffered some pretty serious injuries in that time period and was the biggest offensive threat for opposing defenses on RMU by far... Not saying he's going to blow our mind shooting wise but I think it's unreasonable to make broad generalizations on his shooting form based on a couple clips from a highlight video.

I am not making an generalizations on his production for us. I am saying he has bad form in that picture, everyone else is inferring that.
