After watching him I really think this kid is someone I would like in that 17' class.I know he is not the most gifted athlete but his jumper is deadly.

"The schools recruiting me the hardest I’d say are probably Ole Miss, Georgetown, and Wisconsin,” said Stewart.
About the Badgers, Stewart said, “Wisconsin loves shooters, and I can shoot. I think I would fit into their system well.”
Under Andy Kennedy Ole Miss has had very good guard play, and Stewart likes the freedom he would have in their system. “They let their guards play,” explained Stewart of the Rebels. “Whoever plays the one or two has freedom to shoot, and while they don’t run a ton of sets, they do work to get their shooters open.”
When it comes to the Hoyas, Stewart said, “Georgetown is recruiting me to play the one, and I want to play there in college, so I like them a lot.”

Now do you believe it 4ever?Lol... I'm the one who posted it! I've watched Parker Stewart play all but 1 game this spring with Team Penny and I stand by initial evaluation in saying that he's not a PG. Could he initiate offense in JT3's past offenses, maybe but initiating offense and creating offense are 2 completely different skills as Hoya fans learned the hard way this past season. If JT3 really plans to change the style of offense or play faster, Parker is not the answer. Now more then ever in basketball at all levels you need a true PG with the ability to attack the defense off the bounce and knock down perimeter shots while making the game easier for teammates. IMO, that's not part of Stewart's current skill set. After reading Stewart's comments about how Georgetown is recruiting him, I now think that JT3 will change the offense, tempo, pace of play if Lykes or a player with a similar skill set like Lykes comes on aboard if not it maybe more of the current or past offensive systems. Who really knows, as you have to take what a prospect says and what the coaches plans for a prospect with a grain of salt.

With Mulmore Tre Jagan on the roster when he gets here pretty doubtful that would occur anyways. I'll start paying more attention to a lot of this stuff around Peach Jam time or if I hear about an official visit coming up...

When you first look at Team Penny, you first notice (or at least we do) Top 25 prospect PJ Washington and then you immediately notice Top 15 prospect John Petty. Rightfully so, these two players have both great physical statures and are very skilled and athlete. However, after watching for a bit you tend to notice the kid with the hair who seems to always be around the ball. Standing 6’4” Stewart is just as adept coming off the ball as he is playing on the ball. During his time in the 3rd Session of the EYBL Stewart put his full skill set on display. As the team’s secondary scorer he averaged 9 points on 47% shooting from the field and from 44% from beyond the arc. In 19 minutes per game, as the team’s secondary ball handler, Stewart only gave up one turnover (.33/game). For his Union City (TN) High School team, Stewart led his team to a 34-4 record (20-0) in conference, while averaging close to 22 points per game. This record led his team all the way to the Tennessee state finals, when they ended up losing. Right now Team Penny is 9-2 on the EYBL Circuit. This means that Stewart is 43-6 over the last year. Parker Stewart The Team Penny guard has a chance to win Peach Jam in about a week. The bigger news comes shortly thereafter. “Really, my recruitment is pretty far down the road right now,” said Stewart. “”When I get home from Peach Jam I am going to release my top 5, might be 6. I pretty much have a good idea of my top five. I don’t think anything is going to change that.” Stewart holds offers from North Carolina State, Baylor, San Diego State, LSU, Georgia Tech, Georgetown, Wisconsin, Utah, Mizzou, USC Upstate, Kansas State, Memphis, Wyoming, Santa Clara, Nebraska, Ole Miss, and Florida. UNLV and Iowa are interested, but have not offered yet. Considering his top five is coming out soon they appear to be longshots. ovchoops.com/ut-martin-head-coach-has-top-100-talent-living-nearby/

Not exactly going up against the blue bloods for this one. Would hope we could land him if we really want him.

Stewart is a 6'5, 185-pound combo guard from Union City, Tenn. who has offers from Florida, Georgetown, Memphis and Wisconsin. His 247Sports Crystal Ball predicts him as 100 percent to Ole Miss. O'Connell, on the other hand, is a 100 percent prediction to Louisville. The 6'5, 170-pound two guard from Alpharetta, Ga. has offers from Ole Miss, Auburn, Clemson, Georgia, Iowa State, Miami (Fla.) and has drawn some interest from Duke and Xavier.
Didn't hear about the staff watching him at all think they backed way off.. no inside info but should make some folks happy if so.. He could help a team in some ways but if you're going to play fast you have to start with athletes first not shooters...
