After reading about these Woodson kids the past week in the sports page, you've got to be rooting for them. Nice title game win and is seems like these kids were slept on as they haven't really been on the circuit. Nothing wrong with that as Otto and Whittington weren't really circuit kids either.

Has anyone actually seen this kid play...or just basing criticism on the fact he has not gotten many major offers so late in the process? I would not mind getting a local kid who is a late bloomer. Does this preclude us from adding a guard? I have seen him. I think it will be a bit of a transition for him. But I like that JT3 is going after more mentally tough kids who will play hard and dont need their coach telling them to do. They just do it naturally. He is one of those types and he is physical and very bouncy.

I have nothing against this kid, but unless a forward on the team has told III he is leaving or Walker is going to prep school, this offer makes little sense. I like that he is an athlete, probably could help us on defense immediately. I like keeping local kids at Georgetown, but right now this program needs a guard so badly. That has to be the priority. I'm assuming it's a near certainty that at least one of our forwards this season won't be back, and I have a feeling this roster will look entirely different when next season tips off. I agree and I am actually happy about this. If someone leaves early or transfers, i dont think its a death for us next year. I bet this offer does have to do with someone leaving.

I just don't see any evidence supporting your notion that the roster will look "entirely different." I get that people transfer, but "entirely different"? That's just baseless speculation, really.

The coming roster shakeup will be a good thing. This team was really bad this year and got worse as the season went on. Not sure why fans wouldn't want things to look a lot different come next October.

Who would leave though? I don't know if I see Reggie transferring I think if he was going to leave he would have done so last year. As much as people claim LJ and Ike will leave I don't think that makes sense either since they've both steadily improved their game at Georgetown and they'll both have plenty of minutes next year. The only thing I can think of happening is LJ leaving to play in Europe to get some money but I'm not sure what is his personal situation is so it would be foolish to speculate on that.

Reggie will be the only senior, there's no way he should transfer when he's a year away from a G'town degree.. The sophs & freshman don't seem to be transfer candidates either so that leaves kids leaving early.. The only two possibilities for that are Peak & Cope & those chances are low imo.. I don't want the team to look different, I just want the team to look balanced.. Right now it's way too top heavy..

I was wondering if we were gonna offer him. I like it. Always gotta worry abot DCIAA kids if they can hack it academically but if he qualifies, why not?. I say at this point we have a team where we can take a chance on him. How in the world do you conclude that we have a team where we can take a chance on a mid-major wing? How do you conclude that a kid from DCIAA can not "hack it academically" That's so absurd! SMH

I would hate to see LJ, Issac, Paul or any of the freshman leave. I think they are the basis for a good team next year. AA has not even played for us yet so I can't believe he is going anywhere. I guess Tre Campbell could transfer, he has had a tough year, but I hope he stays. I think he still has a chance to be a good player if he can regain the confidence he showed as a freshman. Trey Mourning deserves to play some more and maybe he thinks he needs to go somewhere else to find minutes next year, but he is a legacy kid who I hope sticks with it and get a chance to help the Hoyas. The one guy who I just don't see a real fit for next year is Reggie. He is a guy who is supposed to be a shooter, but he is not consistent enough making shots and he is just not quick enough to play effective defense. You have to believe defense, and staying in front of your player without fouling, is going to be a huge focus for next years team and I just don't think he can do it. Seems like a great kid but I am not sure he really fits.

He's very close to getting a degree from the university, it'd be a shame for him to leave now..

Some quick notes
Walker played 16u this summer with Simms for Loaded not 17u .
Avg 12 ppg but only played one weekend
Defense athleticism motor most discussed elements of his game in write-ups

I doubt he qualifies just as much as I doubt this offer is just about Antwan.
If he does qualify, I have no issue with him coming whatsoever. Iron sharpens iron and we need kids with his approach to the game.
And I'll reiterate, this offer obviously isn't just about Antwan. I get it.

Leaving aside the ridiculousness/inappropriateness of speculation re transfers, here is the roster shakeup I see happening: DSR - Out Hayes - Out Akoy Agau - In Paul White - In Jagan Mosely - In One other TBD new talent - In That counts as a roster shakeup, so yeah, things will look different.

SMH Really??? I am not saying its impossible but its really hard. I have my mom and her two sisters were all DC public school teachers. My mom left as a teacher to work for a non profit where she actually worked with Jt3s mom for 20 years. My cousin was a teacher in the Dc and left during Rhee's crap and now teaches in PG county. Dc public schools have a ton of problems and jumping from that to Georgetown is tough. I am not saying the kid is not advanced enough, i dont know him but to assume you can go from that workload to Georgetown is insane. Look at someone like Paul and LJ who talked about how hard it was.

I get what you're saying Deacon but Boyd is a 2018 kid, to me the program needs more help in the back-court for next season..
