He is a non starter in name only. Speculation is that he doesn't quite fit into what the Bucks want to do going forward. I don't really buy that since he has only been there a few months and he has played reasonably well. Give them some time to gel and maybe bring in a traditional defensive minded power forward.

sleepyjackson21 is right, Jason Kidd benched Greg Monroe recently because he had to make lineup changes since Milwaukee has been a huge disappointment this year. I guess G.Monroe was the fall guy.
Milwaukee's decline actually began when they got rid of Brandon Knight in the middle of last season and replaced him with Michael Carter-Williams. They still finished 41-41 and were the 6th seed in the playoffs. They thought the addition of Greg Monroe would make them an upper-echelon Eastern Conference team, but their downward spiral has continued this year(currently 22-32)and unfortunately Greg Monroe gets a lot of the blame since he was expected to give them a big boost. Any team that needs a power forward/center should jump at the opportunity to get Greg Monroe because he's played well this year, he's not the reason Milwaukee is bad.

I don't think the Bucks will trade Greg, but I'd do a Hoya swap and send them Hibbert. They're not making the playoffs this year anyway, and that will give them cap space for the summer. The Lakers wanted Greg anyway, and I could see him fitting in nicely with the Laker young core once Kobe is gone.
