Warriors would probably be the best team for us to practice against, Steph owes us one anyway. Ideally though, I'd rather practice against Pop and the Spurs. Maybe mix things up and switch coaches for a scrimmage. Unfortunately, I don't think JT3 has that many NBA coaching connections (compared to Mullin who is good friends with Kerr/former Golden State exec).

Potentially terrible news for Bentil, Providence and the Big East if he's out for an extended period. He's been no worse than the 3rd best player in the conference this season. However, if he's out for an extended period of time, next Saturday's (2/13) game at Providence just became a lot more winnable for the Hoyas.

As we've seen in the past, players come back from injury for games vs GU.

More on the St. John's commitment from Germany: Under the direction of Chris Mullin, recruiting at St. John’s is taking on a definite International flavor. In 2015, Mullin added Italian point guard Federico Mussini and big men Yankuba Sima (Spain) and Kassoum Yakwe (Mali). The latter two played high school ball in the States, but they certainly count and the trend has now continued in 2016. St. John’s added four-star German forward Richard Freudenberg late last week. Currently playing for Bayern Munich’s second team, the 6-foot-8 Freudenberg is a good -looking prospect. Though skinny, Freudenberg is very athletic and moves extremely well. He shoots with range and looks like he has a competitive edge to his game. At St. John’s, we see him playing both the three and the four and in the short-term we really like him as a potential floor-stretching faceup four man. Now that Freudenberg is in the fold, Mullin has a very good 2016 class. Point guard Shamorie Ponds is a top 50 high school prospect while wing Bashir Ahmed is one of the better junior college prospects. basketballrecruiting.n.rivals.com/news/starting-five-louisville-getting-in-front-of-investigation-

Nice article on Creighton's recruiting upswing: BRIAN SNOW Monday at 10:37 AM Conference realignment has Creighton in a new situation, and the coaching staff is taking full advantage. There is no doubt that conference realignment has greatly changed the scope of college basketball. Some schools are in a better position than ever, some are in a worse position than ever, and some have stayed the same. It is clear that one school making the most of their new found position in the college basketball landscape is Creighton. Head Coach Greg McDermott and his staff are some of the most organized and hardest workers on the recruiting trail. Being located in Omaha, Nebraska means that Creighton doesn’t have a ton of prospects in their backyard to choose from and has to go out and recruit nationally to make an impact. In the 2017 class they have done that in a big way locking up two quality wings before the spring AAU season has even started. First the Bluejays landed TyShon Alexander, a good athlete who can really make shots. Then on Super Bowl Sunday, they landed a huge coup by pulling in Kansas wing Mitchell Ballock. Alexander and Ballock are two wings who held numerous high-major offers, and could have had their pick of 20 or so schools depending on how long they wanted to wait. However the job the Creighton staff did to prioritize them and get them on campus is impressive. Now in the Big East, Creighton has a bit more cache with recruits than they have had at any point in time during their history. In the past in the Missouri Valley Conference, Creighton had to rely on evaluation and development (and at times in the son of the head coach being really, really good) to make an impact on the national level. With the Bluejays now in a power conference, and combined with the fact that have had recent success, a national player of the year, great facilities, and a very loyal fan base, all that has combined to make Creighton a team with a lot to offer, and they are taking advantage of it. In 2015 they landed five-star prospect Justin Patton, then in the off-season highly regarded transfer Marcus Foster transferred in from Kansas State, and now they have two highly regarded wings in the 2017 class. With the system that Creighton runs and the proven coaching of McDermott, the Bluejays appear on the rise as a team, and they are definitely one of the schools taking full advantage of their move within the scope of conference realignment. www.scout.com/college/basketball/recruiting/story/1640915-creighton-taking-advantage-of-new-situation

Preview of this weekend's action throughout the Conference.
"As the BIG EAST heads into the final third of league play, No. 1 ranked Villanova sits in first place with an 11-1 mark and Xavier holds down the second slot at 9-3. The next six teams are separated by only two games. Saturday’s results won’t result in any final declarations, but the three of the four contests will include teams in the big “middle” of the standings.
FOX has a doubleheader, starting at noon ET, with Georgetown at No. 20/T17 Providence followed by No. 5/4 Xavier at Butler at 2:30.
Georgetown is in a three-way tie for third place at 7-5 with Providence at 6-6. The Friars won the first meeting two weeks ago 73-69 at the Verizon Center behind 26 points from Ben Bentil. The sophomore forward ranks first in the BIG EAST in scoring overall (20.6) and is even better in league play (22.6). GU’s D’Vauntes Smith-Rivera is second in scoring in BIG EAST games with an 18.8 average."

Gotta believe this removes Nate Watson from their consideration but then again you never know!
