Taurean would be a great get... plus going head to head with Syracuse and winning would be very nice.

Yeah we do have alot of players of his skillset. But at 6'9/6'10, a guy who has a pretty shooting stroke and plays with some nastiness is never something you dont look to go after. But to keep it real there are not a ton of minutes jumping off the page for any recruit even if Copeland and Peak leave.

If Copeland and LJ leave, there are definitely minutes available even with Akoy coming back. Hayes and DSR will be gone as well. I agree that we're more in need of guard depth but a guy that size with that skillset you grab if you can. At worst, he can compete for minutes and will, likely, get a good amount. Also, he gets to match up in practice with guys similar to him which, to this point, is probably not the norm for him. I think it's OK to assume that you're losing one of LJ or Isaac after this year. At least, you'd be sort of crazy not to have that in the back of your mind. And possibly losing both changes the complexion of this team completely.

Sure he can carve out 10 maybe even 15. Seeing film on him, he would be hard to keep off the floor. I think in our offense he can do what he is good at and thats facing up guys his size and beating him off the bounce. he has such a pretty stroke that i could see him being really great in this offense.

Copeland can use another year. Otto could have too. But if Copeland is a projected 1st round pick I doubt he stays.

I've seen enough basketball here to know he isn't anywhere near that level yet.

From Rivals: "A four-star prospect, Thompson burst onto the scene because of his face-up ability. Because he doesn't want to be labeled a finesse player (his own words), he has hit the weight room hard and made an effort to try and score around the rim and play strong on the blocks. He's one of the best available post players in the country." basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1829777

I've seen enough basketball here to know he isn't anywhere near that level yet. I dont know about that. I had a bunch of my comtemporaries play overseas and they want US players to be able to score driving to the basket. He can do that now. He would score 30 a game in some european leagues. They dont even expect you to play lockdown D.
