As I said before, Miami is a loaded team, but also had a home field advantage with Rodríguez playing before a home crowd.

I expect Xavier will be ranked this week. Hopefully Butler stays in the top 25, but wouldn't be surprised to see them drop out. I expect the Hoyas to receive some votes, despite the 1-3 record.

We won't get votes but we also should be 14-3 heading into villanova. Yes, we dropped the game to Radford but hopefully that keeps our guys motivated against the likes of Monmouth & charlotte who are solid. Our early BE schedule is soft with Depaul, Marquette, Depaul, Creighton & St. John's. Gotta be 5-0 if we want to contend for the BE title this year as Marquette does not look ready for prime time nor does creighton. Those will be tough games, but we gotta have them. Xavier, Nova & Butler are all legit. Provy is a one man band (although a great one man).

Yep, I expect five from the Big East. I thought Ellenson could elevate Marquette but with their crappy start, awful Non-con, reasonably strong top end of the BE and crappy bottom ... I'm not sure I see a path to the tourney for them unless they dominate in the BE. And they'd have to get a TON better. Seton Hall has some talent, but they already have a crappy loss and who can trust Willard. Creighton is well coached but untalented, DePaul is a dumpster fire, and SJU is in the dumpster with DePaul.

Seton Hall could be a threat in the Big East. They have a great nucleus of sophomores with Whitehead, Delgado, Desi rodriguez, and Khadeen Carrington. I expect them to make the tournament.

Maybe. NCAA? Nah. It's far more likely that I'm adding the Seton Hall head coaching job to the College Basketball head coaching carousel thread this coming March.

Well, it's not as though we needed a reason to dislike Xavier:

Indiana goes down to Wake.. Wake lost to Richmond their last game I believe. Bryant Crawford is putting up impressive numbers early minus the TO's...

Just watching the teams so far. I'd be willing to place money on all three of the first ones to make the tourney -- if I was sure there would be no injuries -- but I think we and Providence need to prove some things. I think we'll both make it, but Nova and Xavier easily have the talent to my mind. So do we ... but we need to play better. But again, it's not even Thanksgiving, it's just a weird comment to make. Of course we need to play better and I have no idea if we will be a tournament team. But the season is long and things happen. I wouldn't have put money on the 2007 team being a tournament team in the beginning of December. I would have put money on the 2009 team being a tournament team in the beginning of December. It's really hard to tell who is good and going to stay good at this point in the season. I just think tournament talk can't even really begin until January and even then it's kind of a crap shoot outside the top 20. We are just randomly making comments on an internet board. It's okay. You seem rather bent out of shape about this stuff year after year. We get it. But, no offense, we are not going to all wait until March before we start offering opinions on how good or bad Georgetown is, or anyone else for that matter.

He looked really confident at the end, moreso than most freshmen against a top 15 team. But I think he finished with 7 or 8 TOs. If he can play more under control, he will be a pretty solid player.
