Are we in play here? Going out on a limb, but I see potential NBA All-star written all over him.

His recruitment with the staff has been the most perplexing to me. This kid is a flat out STUD! Scores easily on all three levels. Handles the ball and finishes at the basket with either hand exceptionally well. Not afraid to attack the rim and finish over the top with a highlight reel dunk. Skill set would excel in JTIII ever evolving offense. Reminds me of a bigger and much better Jabril at the same age in how he searches and finishes through contact. Also reminds me of Greg Whittington in his multifaceted skill set. Kid can easily play the SG & SF and in a pinch the PF positions in college and could develop to be a mismatch at all 3. He will could be to big and quick for most SG and to quick and explosive for most PF. I also think he has some a lot of Dog in him like Jabril and can be a lock down defender. I think Hunter will be a top 50 kid by the end of his senior season if not sooner. His only weakness seems to be overall strength which will come. The staff was on him going into July. He couldn't stop talking about the Hoyas before July. It almost sound like he was begging for an offer. Even came for an unofficial visit in late June and yet we still have not offered even though St. Johns, Villanova, Virginia and Maryland have all offered in the last week. A lot of people on this board feel like Josh Hart was huge mistake by the staff. I think DeAndre Hunter will be an even bigger loss. This kids game and potential screams to me a 10 plus NBA career. Reminds me of Andre Iguodala.
Buddy of mind who is a Mid Major D1 Asst. Coach saw him at Under Armor All American Camp said DeAndre Hunter might be the most underrated prospect in the country in terms of all he can do on the court. He also said Miami and Temple were all over him and that somebody is going to get a steal. I hope it's the Hoyas. I want him more then any other kid in this class because of his size, skill set and potential.

Told my brother, a long time Hoyas fan, three months ago that I thought Hunter could be an NBA All-star one day. He just seems it have IT. Would be more than thrilled if we were in his recruitment late, he's a gam. He can do it all, has length, and just knows how to see the floor. He has plenty of room to fill out athletically.

FINALLY! I pray and hope we are not to late on this kid. I would love if JTIII got this kid and used him in the same fashion he used Greg Whittington. This kids upside is ridiculous! The only other prospect in this class with as much upside as DeAndre Hunter is Mamadi Diakite who we are also on. I think if we got those 2 and added a Bracey, Bibby or Curtis Jones (might be a long shot) I would be thrilled with this class

Everyone talks about this kid like he should be a 5 star. Why isn't he? I hope we get him but just wondering

He plays PF and SF for his travel team but next level he could be a SG for us. The people that are really high on him see him as 6'7 SG, If you think he's a 3-4 you won't view him as favorably... A 6'7 SG will always make any fanbase giddy obviously.

Exactly YoBoy! As a SG, this kid could develop into match up nightmare! If you break down JT3 ever evolving Georgetown offense, the 1-4 positions are interchangeable. All you need is a skilled player to initiate the offense and then it becomes a Read the defense and React to how your being defended type of motion offense with Princeton principals. The offense is at its best when everyone on the floor is skilled and legitimate scoring threat from multiple spots on the court. That's why I like many others are extremely excited about the potential of this years team because we have a chance to have the most versatile and offensively skilled team since 2007. DeAndre Hunter is very very skilled and athletic that if he commits to Georgetown he could come in and replace an LJ Peak if he was to enter the Draft after we win the NCAA tournament next year. A future line up combinations of Tre Campbell, DeAndre Hunter/Kaleb Johnson/Akoy Agua/Marcus Derrickson/Trey Mourning/Jessie Govan along with who ever else we get in this class would be very long, skilled and athletic. Not to mention Tyler Foster in the 17 Class. i purposefully left out Peak, Copeland and White because if the current team plays to it's potential this season, they may not be around to play with Hunter (If he commits) and the rest of the 16 Class.

Is Paul White retiring from basketball? Beantown, You don't think that Paul White has NBA potential? You don't think that Paul White won't play a significant role on next years team. You don't think that if the Hoyas have a great season and make a deep run in the tourney, say the Elite 8 or better next season that Paul White won't get NBA looks an he will have a decision to make?

Let's see Paul White start a few games before we start worrying about him leaving early for the NBA.
