To someone truly on the left, it seems ludicrous to hear that the other networks are "left-leaning." They don't challenge corporate power or Wall Street. They fill their news with celebrity gossip and other distractions. They may favor the Democratic party's viewpoint, but the Democratic party stopped being a party of the left with Bill Clinton. America has no left.... left.
And good for Todd Rutherford for holding his ground against Fox. Loved how O'Reilly said he wasn't going to attack him and then wouldn't let him finish a sentence.

"Certain Fox New shows" lean to the right? Come on. No one can take the rest of your post seriously if you're going to try and sell that. Of course Fox News is going to "lie" more than the major news channels (i.e. ABC/NBC/CBS, not MSNBC) because they're pandering to a certain audience and have a directive to disagree with certain viewpoints and narratives. What specific parts of those peer reviewed studies do you disagree with? Fox News certainly leans to the right relative to the overall skew of news media (which includes the major news channels and is to the left). Using the less subjective scales in those studies however, they find that it depends on the specific show with respect to how right wing it is independent of the rest of the media. Nobody who has an axe to grind already will take the post seriously if they don't recognize that I was literally summarizing those studies - though then again that's true of the crazies in the climate debate too. None of this means that Fox News or ABC or MSNBC or any channel is a better news source. I'm sure the left wingers on this board believe that facts have a leftward bias and the right wingers believe the opposite. Whether they can recognize their own bias is another matter entirely.

Other news outlets don't lean to the left? Really? Take that Ted CruzCan you imagine the outrage if there was a similar photo involving Obama, or even a Democrat senator (assuming such a photo would even make it past an editor and out on to the wire)?

Oh, no question some news organizations favor the Democratic Party. I think that's what I said. But except for possibly Bernie Sanders, to someone on the real left, there's not much difference between most Democrats and Ted Cruz other than window dressing. If you're someone who supports Ted Cruz, then the Democratic Party does seem left wing. But that's a matter of perspective. BTW, that picture is freaking hilarious. The humor comes from Cruz being a huge proponent of the right of Americans to kill themselves indiscriminately with firearms. Since Obama has never advocated any such thing, a similar picture would have more sinister connotations and lose its humorous quality.

BTW, that picture is freaking hilarious. The humor comes from Cruz being a huge proponent of the right of Americans to kill themselves indiscriminately with firearms. Ted Cruz is among the three or four least qualified Republican candidates out there, but your statement on indiscriminate firearms deaths is a gross exaggeration. Putting aside the number of criminal incidents which are anything but indiscriminate, there were 11,208 fatalities in the US as a direct result of firearms that did not involve suicide. This represents a fatality rate of 3.5 per 100,000 people versus 11.2 for motor vehicle accidents and 14.7 for drug overdoses. There are 300 million firearms in the US and 99.995% of these weapons are not involved in homicides.
