I think before even considering firing Peter Chiarelli (or Claude Julien, for that matter), Bruins ownership -- AND Bruins fans -- should hop aboard the wayback machine and take a gander at what the franchise looked like before both got there. No, they shouldn't be fired. So, clearly, they will be. Boom. nesn.com/2015/04/boston-bruins-fire-general-manager-peter-chiarelli/Announced literally minutes before the Hernandez result. Go Caps Way to tie it up.

Glad the Capitals broke out the old-style stars and stripes uniforms. Never, ever should have changed them.

Big game for the Caps tonight. Can't go down 2-0 on home ice and expect to survive.

Yup. Nothing would make me happier than to see the Caps lose out.

Did anyone else see the interview with Connor McDavid right after Edmonton won that #1 pick? Despite a great effort by the kid to cover his true feelings, he looked anything but excited to be Edmonton bound. Back in the day, the NBA made sure the NY Knicks got high profile Pat Ewing. Is there nothing the NHL could do to avoid giving Edmonton their 4th #1 pick in the last 6 years? (and the 3rd and 7th picks in the other two years) Terrible outcome for McDavid and the NHL.

He's a good kid but looked like the strain of the night was getting to him. Had he lucked out and got LA or Florida for sure his reaction would be different. But when he steps back and looks at it he will be fine. Bettman for sure can't be too happy about it. But so much for any conspiracy theories.

Don't know if there have ever been two more exciting 3-0 series than Montreal/Ottawa and Anaheim/Winnipeg.
Also don't know if I've seen a dirty shot than Dustin Byfuglien gave Corey Perry after Perry scored last night since Dale Hunter retired.

4 goals in 3 games is not gonna get it done for my fishsticks. Halak played hero hockey in the second and had nothing to show for it..

That Islanders third period was as bad a period as they have played all season. Looks like the old Barn gets closed down for good on Saturday.

He will be introduced later today in Edmonton as the Oilers' new President of Hockey Operations; current GM Kevin Lowe is being reassigned to the business side of operations.

Sad my Sens didn't make it thru. Not disappointed as they gave it a great run and gained some real experience for the kids...Ceci, Stone, Zibanejad, Wiercioch,Pageau. All have a bright future. Too bad the Isles didn't make it out of the first round. An all NY series would be amazing and would really capture the attention of that market. Oh well. Guess team Euro will have their shot. Pulling for Calgary now.
