After watching him a bit more ....I agree that Hollis isn't the best comp. I see a lot more Shernard Long in his game.

I think the most important thing for me is I see a ton of upside with this kid. He has already shown some good skills to go with good size/athleticism for his position, and he just finished his sophomore year. I'm excited to watch his progress over the next two years.

Love his length for a young player. We might end up with a 6'7" shooting guard in two years.

Congrats to Tyler!
This is the way it should be. Getting a commit from a talented kid who always wanted to go to Georgetown.

Team lost 1 game in Summer league and got the 3rd seed. Won their first two games then lost in the Semi's to Longpre's team..

I think the reality is, given the state of our program and college hoops generally, an elite recruit is unlikely to commit to Georgetown as a rising junior. I am not surprised by the lack of a ranking at this point. Hopefully Tyler develops and Georgetown has secured, early in the process, a recruit who will blossom later and exceed expectation.

Bossi mentioned he hasn't seen enough of him and that he just missed out on the rankings. I think now that he is on the radar he should climb over the next few years.

Meh think you're reading too much into a Soph year ranking. A lot of these kids haven't even been seen yet, there will will be a ton of movement on those list by the time this kid is a Senior...

I agree, it's too early to worry about a rising junior's ranking. There will be tons of changes between now and the time he's a rising senior.

Exactly Derrickson was top 10 at that point for the 2015 class as a soph.

I'm not a glass almost empty guy. Foster was not listed in Bossi's Top 100. Hard to argue effectively that Georgetown is inking elite recruits these days. Our sweet spot seems to be in the 35-75 range.

Our sweet spot seems to be in the 35-75 range. Taking Foster out of it, why do you think a Ranking going into a kids Junior season makes him an elite recruit or not?? Also Espn just had 3 of our recruits in the top 30 just a year ago.

It is an indicator of the recruit's talent level. If not, we should ignore the rankings then.
