He's 3 of 12 from 3 for his career. 25% is probably better then Lubik and probably better then losing a possession I'd rather have all the other rotation players, except Josh, take that shot.

It's exceedingly important to win the games you should win this year. Well done Hoyas. I almost felt bad for Creighton because they just don't have the horses this year. However, I have a ton of respect for that group. They hustled every play until the end. And their sportsmanship was apparent. I know that sounds hokey but it really stood out to me. I expect that they will recruit more on par with their new conference moving forward and will be a competitive and positive member of the new BE. And I also really admire the way their fans show up for them even when they're having a tough year. I'd love for our fanbase to learn from that example. I'm happy to have them on the schedule this year but I doubt I'll feel similarly in the coming years. That team always brings it and their effort is never in question. Good points. I think a lot of what you said has to do with its location. Midwestern sports fans tend to more forgiving, more patient, and less likely to abandon poor teams, than fans on the coasts. I've lived a little in the midwest over the years, and been to a bunch of baseball/football/basketball games and I don't remember ever hearing even one fan boo. And yes, I did notice several of their players help up some of our players. Some may disagree, but I thought it was nice to see. There really aren't many conclusions we can draw from this game, other than we took care of business against a clearly inferior team. I can't remember the last time I saw a high-major team have so many airballs, bricks, and bizarre unforced turnovers. This is cute. Are you sure you ever left your home while you lived there? Creighton plays in the only league market (Providence is too close to Boston), where there is no other game in town. College sports is it. In the winter, it is the highest form of entertainment there is. So they have a huge non-alum fan base. It passes from one generation to the next. In addition, I'd bet 70% of the school's alums live within a couple of hours of campus. Georgetown isn't interesting to most of DC, which never embraces non-Redskins teams at any level unless they are very very good. In addition, like half our students have no idea where Verizon Center is and a further 30% are casual fans at best. And you could probably get as many alumni to come to games if you played home games at MSG as you do in DC.

The bottom line is that Creighton has a great fan base and sells out its arena. That is good for the league.

I don't see any reason you can't be aggressive, physical, and try to beat the other guy's brains out, but still help up one of their players. Do you call MMA fighters who hug after a fight "cute" also? I doubt it; it's much easier to anonymously insult people on a message board. I wasn't endorsing any type of fandom, just an observation from the 2-3 years I spent there as opposed to the 25 years in the DC area. I tend to be a much more critical fan than those in the Midwest; I don't share their general optimism but I respect it. And yes, there is the fact that there really is much less to do in Nebraska than many other places.

I agree, but it would be a second coming if Josh shot the three and made it. Hibbert was a 100% from three but he made all three he took and the most famous one was a game winner against UCONN.

I think the best thing to come out of this game was potentially Reggie Cameron getting it back on track. He hit a tough runner and looked like it brought his confidence back. I think 3 should increase his minutes against proviie. Ok Reggie stop posting and go work on that jumpshot That was really funny! Made me.. well..LOL
