Galen can pass though. Personally I don't think outside shooting is much of any of our concerns We need someone who can play defense, can handle the ball and pass it. Scoring isn't my concern with a guard at the moment. It should be, and why do you think he’s a good passer? I didn’t see much that lead me to believe he would be elite in the Dimes category as well. If he can’t knock down shots from the perimeter, his man is going to sag off and try and get in the passing lanes. No reason to guard close if you can’t shoot or your shooting is suspect. That makes those passes especially entry passes into the post more difficult imo He’s a smart player he can manage a game but when I watched it’s not as if he was killing it in assists either. Best attribute was his B-Ball IQ and Demeanor but I don’t see him getting on the floor consistently until Junior season and by then who knows what our team will look like and what our needs will be.. From the film I have seen (which is probably not nearly as much as you so I'm not going to disagree with you) it seems like he can pass the ball, at least decently. I think what I meant when I said outside shooting isn't much of my concern is, scoring will come with this team. It doesn't have to be from the backcourt. Obviously any guard that we have that can shoot from the outside will be a plus, but it's not something I'm necessarily looking for.

You like Hardnett better? I'm not sure how picky we can be at this point with guards.

It seems like the staff likes Hardnett better if he has a offer and Robinson does not. They're both short PG, neither seem like great outside shooters, but Hardnett seems to at least have one plus tool - speed. I'm not sure how great a PG Hardnett is - every video I've watched of him he's at least once run into a trap and had to panic pass over the top, but Hardnett is on a nationally ranked team and seems to be the higher profile guy.
Can you guys spot a plus tool Robinson has? I've watched some of the videos, and he seems to do a lot of things well but nothing really stands out.

The staff has to decide which player fits their system the best in order to maximize the possibility of that player being able to make a tangible impact. I’ll post more on Hardnett in his thread

I have no idea if this kid is BE good or not. I do remember Fred Brown, though, who couldn't shoot a lick, but was one heck of a ballplayer.

The worst thing about this commit to Houston, is that Tigerj called it.

Well, I mean it was obvious he'd pick Houston if we didn't offer which we never did.

Can't do nothing when teams just pack it in. Our young guards are atrocious right now. They will get better but they suck right now and aren't doing our frontcourt any favors to flex our muscle. I liked how King and Nichols played. Shaq played like crap. Plenty more games to go though.

Best thing you guys can do is find yourselves a real coach and put the current one you have in his rightful position - lead recruiter. You guys will never win a thing as long as Josh Pastner is on the sidelines. I struggle to think of a more talented, poorly coached team than Memphis
