I trust the staff on this one. If they believe that he has enough potential to be worth a spot, that is good enough for me.

scouthoops.scout.com/story/1453246-on-campus-weekend-of-sept-20Staying in the ACC, enormous center Tacko Fall ships out to Wake Forest. New Demon Deacons coach Danny Manning obviously knows something about being a great big man, and his work as an assistant at Kansas drew widespread acclaim. Fall definitely is a project, but at 7-5 and very long, he can afford to be.

I hear all your concerns and once felt the same way, but if the staff happens to be right on this one then I'll support their decision to the utmost. I wholeheartedly agree, but the brakes need to be pumped hard on expectations here. We have blueandgrey saying he'd be the centerpiece of a final four team and people saying "oh well, we'll miss on Rabb, at least we have a chance here". This guy would not see the floor his freshman year and might not see much time his sophomore year. He's a project, not a Final Four piece. Just to pump the brakes a little more - does anyone think he's better than Mamadou N'diaye? Or Chukwu, who is 3 inches shorter but is infinitely more athletic? If we miss here, oh well, big deal. Losing Noah was much more of a miss.

Maybe not. We'll see, but he's got a little something-something.

He seems to do really well at keeping the ball up high once he gets it. Maybe its just because they are highlights but he has decent hands.

...looking at game tape, yeah, you take this guy. he's more agile than roy and has pretty good timing on his blocks. you can tell he played soccer; runs pretty well. and doesn't seem like he's going to be ultra-thin when he hits his mid-20s. now, he may struggle against hefty guys 6'10" and above right now, but he can learn to use his 8' wing span to play pretty good defense. I like him.

Can lic's heart withstand 7'5"?? He's been way too quiet. I hope all is well with him. You'd think he'd be blowing up this thread all by himself. Where are his 5 posts in a row beaming with enthusiasm?

Looking at the first video that purple posted on 9/19, he needs Roy to teach him "verticality" and keeping his hands up, not out. Either that, or he'll pick up 5 fouls in however long it takes the other team to run 5 plays.
