Hoopniks @hoopniks 10h Rabb vs. Diallo didn't materialize but Haanif Cheatham really lit it up in the 1st half and showed his versatility/scoring.

Haanif Cheatham, 6′-5″, 175, SG, Pembroke Pines (FL) – A standout guard, Cheatham recently narrowed his school list to six programs, including the California Golden Bears, Florida State Seminoles, Georgetown Hoyas, Georgia Bulldogs, Marquette Golden Eagles, and Wichita State Shockers. He demonstrated his ability to play in both guard slots, and showed a versatile offensive game that included stroking 3-pointers, and exploiting the lane to get to the rim. Cheatham is smooth, efficient and skilled. hoopniks.com/2014-lebron-james-skills-academy-thursday-recap/

Not to mention his final list is not that formidable.. I think it's between G'town & Cal..

What if...Rabb and Cheatham could do a James, Wade, and Bosch deal and show up on the Hill Top?

insider.espn.go.com/blog/ncbrecruiting/on-the-trail/post?id=10972Biggest revelation Haanif Cheatham Point guard 2015California, Marquette, Georgetown, Wichita State, Florida State and Georgia are involved with this DeAngelo Russell type. The slender lefty needs to get stronger penetrating and finishing with his off hand. However, he can run pick-and-roll due to his excellent vision and he knock in some deep jumpers as well.Really hope the staff lands this kid..

Kudos to the staff for their talent evaluations. It looks like they are ahead of the curve, so to speak.

Eric Bossi @ebosshoops 2m Ted Kapita is a grown ass man. Plays with a serious edge. Haanif Cheatham is going to help somebody win a lot of ball games.
I'd love to see the staff go hard at Kapita too..

From Rivals review of Friday's LeBron games... A 6-foot-5 wing, Cheatham does a little bit of everything. He handles, he passes, he defends and he makes just enough shots from deep to keep defenders honest. He is a utility wing who makes smart decisions and will help win a lot of ballgames in college. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1658397

Seen Matthews, Beasley, Cheatham and Falzon.
I'd rank them in that order too.

Alex Kline @therecruitscoop 39s 2015 Nike Team Florida (FL) guard Haanif Cheatham has taken Wichita State out of his final six & added Baylor instead.
Hope the staff makes a hard push to get him on campus for an official visit..

I mean he just unofficially visited 2 weeks ago. I think it would be a really good sign if he scheduled a second visit before his decision on September 5th. I've heard he's scheduled Marquette in August. He already used an official on Alabama that didn't make his final list of 6. Not sure he'll have time to visit any of Baylor, Cal, Georgia (obviously FL st is probably pretty easy if he hasn't already been there before)

It would be nice to secure a guard in the '15 class.

Write up on his play at the Elite Youth Event..
2015 Haanif Cheatham, SG, Nike Team Florida — Cheatham might have chosen an ideal team to put on a show, but he already has secured a list of six finalists — Marquette, Florida State, Baylor, Georgia, Georgetown and California — that offer a diverse set of opportunities for the high-major level. Nevertheless, it's safe to say that he didn't harm his status in the eyes of those coaches watching from courtside, thanks to a starring turn in NTF's opening contest.
Cheatham utilized his slashing ability and knack for finishing off the backboard to continually score on drives in traffic. He's above-average in terms of quickness, and the southpaw utilizes his left-handedness to his advantage as well. He's also a sharp passer and a good outside shooter who stroked in a few threes. Physically, he has gained needed strength since last summer. Whichever program he chooses, Cheatham will be a prime asset.
