Just watched that last play again. Didn't think that was offensive goaltending at all. Doubt it will affect the outcome of the game, of course. Other than the Providence game, can't fault the effort, the strategy, etc. It just been a very long time since we have been completely overmatched like this. Tough to watch. I think you can fault an offensive strategy that is ineffective given the talent and doesn't change despite the consistent lack of success. Effort, on the other hand, definitely can't be faulted. These kids are playing as hard as they can.

All I see are all five GU players above the foul line when we have the ball. We can't win that way. Haven't you heard? They are setting screens for one another. Yep, we should totally be feeding it into our dominating low post players.

Just move the ball. No player should hold the ball for more than 3 seconds. If we did that we would actually be playing offense.

Awareness of shooters? How about getting tired because you have no depth? You are obviously not watching. But keep pushing your agenda. Agenda? You are so paranoid you belong in the Tea Party. Not every comment I make is an atatck on your precious idol. The guys on the floor are tired. Markle and DSR in particular are having to play almost the entire game. When that happens you are going to get gaps in defenses and slower than usual rotations. That's the truth. You folks act as if the Hoyas are superhuman and don't need rest. And I'm not even blaming III at this point. With jabril down his options are limited. But keep pushing your bs agenda, it is what you love to do best (outside of stalking me of course).

GU really needs an inside presence: moses is 6'8", hop is a slender 6'9", nate's 6'8" but none are really bangers. Also, funny coach just said to Chvotkin: "we're gonna need rebounds from whoever's in there: moses, hop, nate...BJ, if I throw him in there, they're gonna need to step up"
sigh..

Awareness of shooters? How about getting tired because you have no depth? If the players are tired in the first half of the first game in 5 days, it's not depth that's the problem. No offense but I dont think you appreciate the effort it takes to guard consistently

Nate has 7 rebounds at half - 2 offensive. If there's one thing he's doing well tonight it's that.

This is both a talent issue and coaching issue. Offensively we only have 2 bona fide players who can put the ball in the basket with any consistency (give a tip of cap to Hopkins though this half). But, beyond that problem, our coach puts all the bigs 30 feet from the basket on over 50% of our possessions. I mean we are taking our biggest weakness and just amplifying it. At this point you might as well keep our bigs near the basket and encourage them to shoot more from close range. Even if they miss the Hoyas can still crash the boards. Of course they will have to finish if they do get the offensive rebounds.

Of course, the Hoya app says Reggie played 28 minutes in the first half so I'll give him a pass.

Bowen and Cameron lost Wragge too many times. And in dumb manners. Losing him on the fast break is forgiveable -- stupid help steps are not. Combine that with no shots made, ridiculous chippy fouls against us and we're losing by ten but otherwise outplaying Creighton. Freaking annoying. Kudos for Hopkins for really controlling McDermott while in. Hop gets the game ball so far. As bad as this looks I like what I see out of him today. Nate might be a glue guy, but we need materials, not adhesives. Go Starks, DSR, Cameron, Hop, Ayegba and tell Moses to take a shot, ANY SHOT, early this half. I've never seen defenders run away from a player with the ball faster than Creighton is backing off Moses when he gets it.

Caprio came in the game and got attacked off the dribble and blown by easy twice. Starks and DSR are working their butt off.

And that its like a video game where each individual play is unto itself.

He is better off setting screens on the perimeter.

Cameron fell off him to help on D. Both conscious decisions to step away. Again, neither had played all that many minutes. Wragge hit another one from 35 feet on the break where everyone was confused and Mikael -- who wasn't covering him -- saw him late. Tired? Every single post you've made in the past five years has been about playing a bigger rotation. Yes, that's agenda.
