The key is though they just tuned or will soon be 19, Dwayne will get drafted at 20 but will turn 21 before his 1st official training camp.. That's my main point, he's 2 years/seasons/ school years behind his normal class.. I'm not bending the numbers at all.. I agree with SF that its not as big a factor on the college level but to me it is something to consider... Look at how dominant Shabazz Muhammad was in HS and then think back on how much it dropped off in college.. Was he still a good player? Yes, but not nearly the player he was projected to be and when it came out that his Pops lied about his age it made more sense why he was so good in HS Are you familiar with the line than is drawn for late summer birthdays among high school athletes in general and how those numbers shake out? I understand where you're coming from but it's not a discussion of "just turned 19" or what not. For half a year one player will be 19 and the other 20. Not as big a gap as the original "2-3 year difference". Yes but you're referring to kids who graduated HS in 2013 Rock.. When you take into account the fact that he's competing in camps/HS against kids from the 2015, 16, 17 & 18 classes it is a 2-3 year gap.. He's at least 16 months older than most of the kids in the 2015 class.. Govan was born in July of 97, Rabb was born in Feb of 97.. Do the math Rock..

Bacon made the most of the attention, showing all elements of his versatile offensive arsenal with deep jumpers, athletic drives, and some clever finishes in the open floor....

That's all true but it's more relative than you're making it out to be. I can pick out players he's playing against, in addition to top 100, that are as old, almost as old, or even older than him to formulate my argument. Fact of the matter is he's graduating at 19. People develop in different ways and I wouldn't attribute too much of his success to him playing at his current age. He still goes against and performs against the best the hs ranks have to offer, regardless of age. He's always been tall, but that's not enough for him to gain a massive comparative advantage. His skill level at his size and position are what set him apart at this point, not necessarily his physical advantage. He still has plenty of room to grow and improve at this point. But yes, it can be concerning, but he's no Shabazz.

When I see a tweet like this and rarely see or even hear Georgetown mentioned on any of the recruiting sites it makes one wonder. Are we setting ourselves up for disappointment? I for one would love to have him as much as Trier and Dozier but what if any is our chance with him? I believe I read that his girlfriend is enrolled on the hilltop but I also read that Sanders and Bacon are a package deal. Any insight?

Seems like a strange list for a 5 star basketball recruit....FSU, Tenn, USC, Clemson are all football-first BCS schools....then SMU...only one that really makes sense is Louisville. Also, not exactly a group of academic juggernauts. I hope I'm wrong, but it doesn't seem like we really fit with the rest of his list.

It's who is recruiting him the hardest. Who's recruiting him the hardest, I repeat. If App St was recruiting him harder than anyone else they would probably be on there too.

It's strange that a five star basketball recruit is being recruited hardest by football first schools. Georgetown was, at one time, one of the schools that he spoke to most often according to Bacon himself. Any ideas as to what changed?

However, I doubt he would list a school if he wasn't at least somewhat interested. And I doubt if App St, or another similar school, was recruiting him the hardest he would list them. I understand that his own personal list is more significant than a list of who is recruiting him the hardest. However, this list is certainly not insignificant. At the very least, it makes you wonder when he lists 6 schools recruiting him the hardest and we're not on that list.

He probably just mentioned the first 6 schools that came to mind. 2 weeks ago we were one of those schools, hard to imagine much has changed in 2 weeks… Going to be a tough pull regardless...
